Carolina's POV—
I was awake. I was in my senses but I didn't open my eyes, didn't make any move because I could hear him. He was on a call with someone and he kept saying that he can't leave me alone, smart ass that Simon, of course I'd escape the first chance I got.

"Biltmore Millennium god damnit! How many times do I repeat myself?" He hissed. Biltmore Millennium, the haunted hotel I've always wanted to explore, ever since I heard about it years ago. Simon, Lexy and I were the kind of dumb kids who wanted to go to places we knew we shouldn't even have any knowledge about. These places were all over the world. Fatehpur Sikri in Agra, India. The Ottawa jail hostel in Canada. The ship of Queen Mary and Biltmore hotel here in L.A were just a few of the places that were on our list.

"I know you're awake Carol, get up have some food, love." Simon whispered sweetly and interrupted my thoughts. I could hear the smile in his voice. I sprung up and got off the bed to eat some food and to also ask him how he knew. He told me I didn't look peaceful anymore.

"Simon what the fuck happened!" I screamed as I ran to him and tried to have a better look at this huge wound on his forehead. He had white gauze wrapped around his head and it had a big spot of blood on his right temple.

"Nothing you need to worry about love." He said sweetly.

He got another call so I went back to my dreamland as he went down the stairs, so I knew we were in the presidential suite, the only one with two floors, the 10th and 11th. They were the two most haunted floors. I was trying to remember how we got here but the last thing I could think of was talking to Dylan and feeling like it's Independence Day when suddenly, the janitor came in and and shoved a white cloth to my face. I tried to do the same thing as last time, I didn't breathe until he moved the cloth off my face, then tried to run. But there was another man standing at the edge of the door who shoved another white cloth to my face and strangled my neck. I gasped for air and blacked out a few seconds later. Then now, I was here.

He had people on his side, so I knew better than to escape. I took a sandwich in my hand and went down the stairs to talk to Simon. No I wasn't scared of him, yes he kidnapped me but he's not going to do me any harm. He was not on the phone anymore, he was playing the piano. I forgot just how good he was at it. I walked towards him and leaned on the side of the piano. He didn't realise because his eyes were shut. Once he opened them, he smiled at me then stopped playing.

"Come here." I insisted, and he got off the stool and walked to where I was. He stood there, towering me and I started to tap the pockets on his sweatpants and it's waistband too.

"What are you doing, love?" He asked.

"Checking for chloroform since everyone always seems to have some like it's the most normal thing on earth." I stated with a straight face.

"I'm sorry baby." He giggled and scratched the back of his neck.

"Simon stop it with the charm and tell me why the hell did you kidnap me!" I demanded.

"I wasn't going to let you ruin your life behind that pothead, and you're too stubborn to listen to me if we simply had a talk about it anyway, so I did what's best for you. You deserve the best, I thought you knew that." He explained as he slowly held my face with both his hands.

"Simon that is bullshit. You can't take me like this. You're going to let me go home right now, and I mean that." I made it clear and I stood straighter in attempt to look less tiny.

"We are going home I promise. But don't you want to see this place first?" He softly spoke. I knew he meant it and My body immediately relaxed.

"You swear?" I asked again as I couldn't understand why he would kidnap me if he was just going to drop me home. He nodded and bent down to kiss my forehead.

"How about you shower and get changed so we can go explore?" He suggested and I went upstairs to shower. I stood in the warm water mentally making a list of all the questions I was going to bombard Simon with. Just then I realised I don't have any clothes at all. I opened the door a little and called Simon.

"I don't have fresh clothes." I whined.

"I got you baby." He giggled and handed me a pink sweatshirt that said 'girlfriend material' and a pair of white shorts. As I was about to shut the door I realised I don't have any undergarments either. I opened it again, this time a little more than before and popped my head out and glared at him.

"I don't know about guys but girls do need undergarments on a daily basis!" I grumbled. He chuckled and a few seconds later, he threw a blue matching set of undergarments at my face.

I took them and went back in. I don't understand how he is so prepared for me and all my demands.

I soon got out and wore the socks and shoes that Simon gave me. I took another sandwich from the tray and stood there eating it. Suddenly, I felt his arms snake their way around my waist. I stood still, shocked at what he's doing. I didn't feel unsafe or scared but I didn't like how he was behaving or how close he was getting. We used to be best friends, I never made him feel like I liked him any more than that. He was still behaving like we're together, in a relationship.

"You ready?" He cooed in my ear and I nodded. He took my hand in his and we left the room.
