~Third Person POV~

Endeavor closed the door behind him and Hawks, looking at the ground to think for a moment. "None of it makes sense. She doesn't have a quirk, but somehow she ended up here." He said. "Did you ask her how she got through the portal?" Hawks asked him, reminding him of the goal of the whole ordeal. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "No, between your constant stupidity and her "I'm so innocent" act, I was trying to figure out why so was so concerned about contacting her mom." Hawks looked at him with a blanket face before face palming. "You know, Endeavor. For as intelligent as you are, sometimes you are looking for the wrong things. Did you ever think she might just be a scared little girl that got thrown into a strange portal? She said she didn't have a quirk and she just about passed out when she saw us walk in. Personally, I think she is telling the truth and you are just being suspicious. She is just a scared teenage girl that wants her mom and wants to go home." He said. "Okay, and where is her mom Hawks? Why can't they find her records? Or even her mother's records? Why doesn't this girl in this room not exist! It makes absolutely no sense to me! Even if we found her mom, we still couldn't let her go. If she was thrown into that portal in an attempt to end her life, she needs to be put into a protection program where she can be closely monitored at all times. Do not doubt me Hawks." He warned and scowled. The Doctor started to approach them, hearing the two bicker from just down the hall at the nurses station. He was just checking up on another patient when he thought they looked like they needed help. "Endeavor, Hawks. I see you two have come to a disagreement. Is there any way I can help you?" He asked. As Endeavor was about to ask about possible taking a DNA test for the suspect when a nurse came rushing over with a manilla folder in hand. "Doctor, the results from the emergency blood test you order for out Jane Doe are back and you need to view them right away." She said, hastily handing him the files. She looked disheveled and her glasses were slightly crooked on her face from running across the hospital to get the papers to the doctor. He took the file and looked at the two pro heroes. "Gentleman, I believe this is what you were concerned about." He said. He read through the paperwork and paused. "There is only a single match for our Jane Doe." He read out loud, scanning down the paper. He wondered why there was no trace of a father, finding it odd. He looked for the DNA of who the mother is and looked astonished. "Thank you Nurse Witt, I will relay this information appropriately." He said and dismissed her to speak to the two pro heroes privately. She nodded and walked away briskly, knowing exactly what those papers entailed. She could never say what she saw on the papers or who the Jane Doe, also known as Caelesti Arumi, is directly related to. "Let's go to my office and speak of this in private. I do not mean to be rude or stereotypical, however, Nurses and Aids tend to chat and spread rumors. These are rumors you do not want the public to get ears of." He said. "This way please, follow me." He said and closed the file, walking past the two. He walked down the hallway and expected the others to follow. Hawks and Endeavor looked at each other, wondering what could be so concerning that they would have to go to a private office to speak about. They followed behind the doctor as he made several turns. Once they got to a plain, metal, door he got out his keys and unlocked his office. He let the two walk in first, following behind them. He made sure no one had followed them and shut the door. He sat down at his desk and gently set the file on his desk near the keyboard. "As you know, I am not allowed to speak of patients personal matters with outsiders without their permission, it is a HIPPA violation. However, with the information I just received I would be willing to turn a blind eye in this situation. I am breaking a lot of laws just by speaking with you, but this girl is in a lot of danger." He said. Hawks and Endeavor looked at each other for a moment before Endeavor spoke up. "If a citizen is at risk, we will do as we must to protect them." He said. "That is our duty to the public." Hawks nodded in agreement. The doctor looked at the folder and back at them. "I will allow you to take this folder and you can take it with you. We have copies here. I will simply say I misplaced it. Lost files happen all the time, that's why everything is computerized nowadays." He said. He pushed the folder forward on the desk and Endeavor picked it up. He opened up the folder and read through the top, seeing that there was only one blood result. This caused him some confusion as well, but what was below made him rethink the entire situation. He gave the file to Hawks and he tensed up when he got down to the name and photo at the bottom. He put the folder inside his bomber jacket and nodded. Endeavor cleared his throat and thought very carefully of what to say next. "We appreciate your help in this situation. We will question the victim further and take her into a protective relocation program that will monitor her closely. We will need her discharged immediately." He said and stood up. He shook hands with the doctor with a firm expression. "We shall be with the patient until she is discharged from the hospital." He said and left the room with Hawks following shortly behind. Endeavor had never seen a ghost before, but now he felt like he did. As to what was going to happen from now on, he wasn't sure. He just knew they needed to keep this girl under close watch for time being. Hawks was a little shaken up but got over it by the time they got back to the room. He was cheerful again, knocking on the door. "Hey Kid, it's just us again. Can we come in?" He asked, waiting for a response.

~First Person POV~

I don't know how much time had passed, but before I could even say a word Hawks and Endeavor were back. I heard Hawks knock on the door and I sat my legs back down on the bed politely. It wasn't very lady like to sit with my legs to my chest. "Come in." I said. I didn't sound very happy. I didn't sound like much of anything really... I didn't know if it was from shock or if it was from fear that on the other side of the door that same man from earlier was going to be there and I was going to fall through another hole. I watch as the handle turned and was relieved to see that it really was Hawks and Endeavor on the other side of the door. Hopefully this fear was not going to be a reoccurring theme for me... Hawks smiled brightly and sat back down whereas Endeavor stayed standing up. He looked at me, his eyebrows and facial hair on fire. It was a little odd but at least most of his body wasn't on fire this time. Did I say something to set him on edge or was he just trying to provoke me to do something I can't do. He eventually spoke up before looking at the police report. "How did you get in the sky?" He asked. I shuddered internally at the memory. "A man.. I was on my way to school when I noticed that everything was off. No one was outside and no one was driving. The wind started to pick up and he suddenly appeared." I didn't talk about how he spoke in my head. I didn't want to sound anymore crazy than what I already do. The. Again, two superheroes are sitting in front of me at the moment so what can possibly be so crazy at the moment? "I was so scared of him that I couldn't move. I was frozen in my spot. He had no eyes, his skin a little scared up. He had a suit on as well. It looked really beat up and torn, like he was thrown into a tornado and spat back out. He also had a strange device around his neck. It almost looked like it was apart of him..." I explained in great detail about what this man looked like, not missing anything about his appearance. "When he started to walk towards me, I shifted and though I fell off a curb. When I kept falling, I screamed. I fell into this dark tunnel and then I was in the sky." I didn't like explaining this so many times. I was starting to get the headache again just thinking about it.
Hawks nodded a little, looking very serious now. I couldn't read Endeavor's face. It was like he was trying to put together a puzzle where none of the pieces fit. "Okay. Unfortunately, we are not able to get ahold of you mom." Endeavor said. He looked at Hawks, trying to think of a way to explain things to her.  "We don't know where she is, but we do know this man is a great danger to you. We need to put you into a protection program." He explained. They couldn't find my mom? "You... You can't find her? What happened?" I asked, starting to panic. The heart monitor started to go up, the beeping not helping at this point. "It's going to be okay, we are going to find your mom." Endeavor said. Part of me didn't believe him, but if I never saw my mom again I don't know what I would do. I take a deep breath, trying to calm myself. "How long will I be in this program." I said more than asked. "Until we get this man in custody and figure out his true intentions." He said. "Okay." I said. My brain was screaming at me to panic but I know I couldn't. My mom wasn't here to calm me down, I don't know where my mom is. "I will be in this program, but as soon as you find my mom," I pause and looked straight at Endeavor. "I want to be the first person to know. As soon as she is found, you or Hawks needs to take me to her." I say. I wasn't just going to go into it willingly, I need to know where my mom is. Every bone in my body is telling me to go out and find her myself but I know I can't. "We will do that for you." Hawks answered this time, nodding at me. He smiled, showing confidence. "You are being discharged from the hospital soon. When the papers are signed, we are going somewhere and putting you under a program." He said. I nodded. I was glad I was getting out of the hospital, however, I still had that itching burn that something was completely wrong. Not with them, but with everything that happened today. "I am going to go sign the discharge papers, you stay here and watch her." Endeavor spoke to Hawks, exiting the room. Hawks sighed when he left, smirking. "Isn't he just the world's biggest ball of joy." He said in a fake, cheerful tone. Even after everything that had happened today, this made me laugh.
