6. How To Cleanse and Charge an Amulet

So let's say you've just bought an amulet, and you'd like to use it. You have to cleanse and charge it first, of course! Here's what I do to cleanse and charge my new amulets.

Q: why do you need to cleanse your amulet?

A: amulets pick up on environments and feelings. They've certainly picked up on the life of their previous owner, whether it be a dusty antique store or a kiosk at the mall. To get a completely blank slate, it's best to cleanse it.

1.) place the amulet in a dish of salt overnight. Other methods of cleansing are waving the amulet through sage or incense.

2.) After you've cleansed your amulet, you can now charge it. Hold the amulet in your hands and think about the intention of the charge. Picture in your mind the ideal outcome of the situation. Once you've done this, say your wish/incantation aloud and in the present-tense. Some examples are, "My business is successful." "I am debt-free." "My boyfriend has proposed."

3.) create a vivid vision of your desired outcome. As your body heat transfers to the object, your charging is complete. Now you can begin wearing your amulet!
