it was spring. the flowers were blooming, they were so delicate looking that a breath could split the petals apart. school students were taking pictures of their friends everywhere, couples were sitting amongst the grass laughing, parents lifting their children on their shoulders, the child's small hands reaching for the petals in wonder. my thoughts drifted you, yet again. the thoughts consumed me, a small smile appearing upon my face. the voices from behind me were muffled, but it startled me when i realised who the owner of the voice was.

it was you.

i whipped around, and met eyes with you, only for a fleeting moment. my cheeks started to heat up, and the butterflies in my stomach grew agitated. you were with a few friends, laughing about something one of them had said. that laugh, i could listen to that laugh all day. i pretended i was on the phone, but my eyes kept following you, even as you passed me. i saw you leaving and my heart ached, like always.

i wish i could tell you how i felt. how i feel.
