(A/N- hi all! like i've previously mentioned i've decided to change some names of characters because this is a fictional story. you will also meet a character named James today, who is 'played' by Matthew Gray Gubler, if that makes sense. see you lovelies later!)

"Hi, is this Sam Claflin?" Adam says through the phone, jotting down things on a yellow notepad. A flood of nerves washes through my entire body, leaving my fingertips and toes tingling with anxiety and excitement. I sit across from Adam and Thea, bouncing my knee and just...thinking.

I've always been dreaming about this moment; creating something the whole world could enjoy. Now is the time to seize that opportunity, and I'm not going to let my ex-boyfriend's handsome looks and amazing personality take that away. I will not allow the past memories affect MY future.

"Great! We are pleased to inform you that we would love to have you come in to do a reading for the role of William Traynor. Our team can definitely see you playing this role!" He smiles through the phone. I hear muffled words, followed by a distant laughter.

That laugh...

"Congratulations, Sam! That's wonderful to hear. Is next Monday alright? 9 AM?" Adam replied, writing down information. I bite my nail involuntarily out of nerves.

All I want is this movie to be enjoyed by romance fiends. I'm not doing this for Sam, and that's that.

"Fantastic. Congrats, again. We look forward to seeing you. Bye!" Adam exhales after ending the call with a smile plastered over his face. "That's our William Traynor!"

"What were you congratulating him on?" Thea asks. My heart beats faster by the second, but I just bite my cheek, stop my thoughts, and look at Adam with pure curiosity in my eyes.

"Um..his wife, Rachel, just delivered a baby girl." Adam says, avoiding all eye contact with me. I cease the emotion that wanted to pour out of my eyes, mouth, and brain. I make no reaction, and keep it inside.

You have to learn how to move on, Y/N. Stop being so selfish.

"That's great." I smile. Even though one small ounce of jealousy remained in my bloodstream, I was genuinely happy for them. That's what they deserve; a joyous, loving, future.

Adam looks up at me with a smile. No pity laid behind his eyes. No remorse, or compassion either. Just kindness. And proudness.

We made the call for Louisa already, who was absolutely thrilled, and gave me a million "thank you's" and ear piercing squeals. But it convinced me even more that we made the correct choice, and this movie was going to be hella fantastic!

"Who's up for a little lunch?" Thea asks, raising her eyebrows to indicate a celebration meal. Adam and I smile in agreement.

"Starved. Plus, I think we all deserve a break." I huff, gathering my things and filing the headshots. I hold Sam's for a second longer, but file it with ease and no hesitation.

It's time to move on.

"It's a wonderful woooorld!" I embarrassingly belt out, while putting away some dishes in my kitchen. I was now changed into some comfortable black leggings and a cream colored sweater, doing humiliating dances while jamming out to some music. A loud ringing interrupted my monstrosity of a dance as I realized it was my phone. I turn down the music and answer without looking at the caller ID.

"Yello?" I say, putting away a glass.

"Y/N?" I hear a rich voice say. It takes some strength not to drop the fragile glass as I realize who's calling.
