Rest in peace Luke Perry. I'm still processing the news and I can't believe we lost such an incredible and talented man who's inspired and been loved by different generations; from the fans of 90210 who loved Dylan McKay to the fans of Riverdale who loved Fred Andrews (the BEST Riverdale parent). I remember just a few months ago I was watching interviews of the cast and Luke has always been so funny and entertaining to watch as he had such a charming and caring personality.
I just wanted to send my deepest condolences to Luke's family, the cast of Riverdale and 90210 and all his other friends who must be heartbroken right now. I can't even begin to imagine how all of them must be feeling right now if people (including me) who didn't even know Luke personally are absolutely heartbroken.
Also, I don't like drawing attention to negativity, but I've read some things on twitter which have left me disgusted. Firstly, for people getting annoyed that Riverdale shut production down for a while – WHAT DID YOU EXPECT, they lost one of their closest friends, someone who's like family to them so of course they would take a break from filming! Secondly people saying 'why have Kj and Cami etc not posted anything about it' – not everything is for the internet, at a time like this they all deserve their privacy. Can you imagine what they must have felt like, especially for KJ who saw Luke like a second dad...sometimes after going through something like this you need days for you to process it yourself before you can even speak about it to other people. Finally, to the few people using this event and trying to suggest storylines for Riverdale so that their 'ships' get screen time – I have no words for you except THIS IS REAL LIFE, NOT A FICTIONAL SHOW. PLEASE RE-EVALUATE YOUR OWN LIFE FIRST IF A FICTIONAL SHIP ON A TV SHOW IS YOUR MAIN PRIORITY.
Anyways, sending all my love to Luke's family, friends and all of you guys who are probably as heartbroken as I am.
