Chapter Five: The Way to the Lair

The only way to their home was the sewers, considering that their home was IN the sewers. We already took 15 minutes down these dark corridors because of my limp. But the next part was even scarier. They had to slide on their shells like sleds down this roller coaster-like sewer tunnel to get there. "Come on, I'll protect you babe," Mikey said. I stuck close to Raphael's side, though. Holding his hand the whole way here. "I'm gonna stick with Raphie," I said. Leo snickered. "Raphie..." he said to himself. "You wanna baby bottle with that?!" he started cackling. "ZIP IT!!! I like her nickname for me!" Raphael said in anger. "Let's move it, I'm starving!" Mikey said. They got on their shells and started sliding. "Hold on tight, this is gonna be fast and smooth. It won't take but a couple minutes, okay Em?" Raphael reassured me. I nod my head as I wrap my arms around his neck. And we go FLYING!!!!

I feel us going at like almost 1,000,000 miles an hour. Each time I try to open my eyes, I shut them as tight as I can again. Then the ride gets EVEN BETTER!!!! There is a 3 foot GAP between pipe one and pipe two! When we were in the middle of the gap, I put my head on Raph's shoulder and held on as tight as I could! Then, we finally were on pipe two. I could open my eyes because, well, we survived this far, and he's been doing this for God knows how long exactly. Then, before I knew it, we were on our feet again.

My heart was racing like a Harley Davidson on the road in a 70 mph. range. I hold Raphael tightly as he came up to me. "You okay?!" he asks, giggling. "I've never felt someone hold on like that EVER!" "Well, that was a first for me!" I say, giggling. "Stop making out back there and...." Mikey started to say. "BE QUIET!!!!!!" Raphael interrupted. I started laughing. Raphael looked at me warmly, grabbed my hand, and we walked down the last dark corridor to their lair.
