chapter 4

A treehouse

"Damn all the trees here are like 30 feet tall." Irithel

"Exactly how are we gonna get up there? Especially when you are riding on an animal"

"This is gonna be tough but lets search and see."

We walked for about 20 min and we didnt come across any treehouse.

"Im getting tired" irithel said

"Me too but we have to keep going"

"Alrig- ahh!" Just as irithel answered a giant monster slashed her with its claws.

"Irithel!" I shouted and threw a grenade at the monster.

I ran to her and tried to carry her away. Hopefully, the grenade would buy us some time.

I ran as fast as i could but the monster was catching up. Irithel managed to shoot a row of raining arrows to slow down the monster.

I put her down and kept shooting the monster. "Cmon just one more hit" i said and killed it.

"Phew omg are you alright?" I ran to irithel

"Yea..." she sustained alot of damage from that hit.

I put her on her animal and we continued walking.

Not long after, another monster banged into us and we all fell. I looked up and saw an army of yellow monsters. They were holding spears.

I quickly stood up to protect irithel but one of the monsters shot her and she disappeared into pixels.
"NO!" I screamed. I quickly shot 2 of them but there were too many.

I was cornered and they shot at me. I managed to dodge a few shots but i took alot of damage. I thought i was gonna die when suddenly

"Lesley!" A dagger shot right infront of me and someone teleported to me. The person carried me and teleported away from the monsters.

"Gusion?" I opened my eyes in shock.

"Quick throw a grenade" he said looking at the monsters seriously.

I threw my grenade and bombed some of them.
He put me down and shot 5 of his daggers. Killing 5 in one shot.

I quickly aimed my sniper and killed more.

"Are you ok?" He looked at me with concern.

"Y-yea thanks for saving me, i thought i was gonna die." I smiled.

"A-anyway, about just now" gusion stuttered. I looked at him confused.

"Oh i meant while we were walking to escape class"

"Oh im so sry i was quite confused and annoyed thats why i-"

"Huh? Nono I was gonna apologise for the way i acted" he cut me off and continued "i never met a girl like you before so i didnt know how to act" he said scratching his nape.

"O-oh i see im sry for yelling at you just now."

"Its alright haha i deserve me for being a flirt"

"Hahahah u definitely do" We laughed for awhile and totally forgot we were in the middle of a jungle.

"Wait how long more do we have?" I suddenly remembered

"Oh my gosh we only have 45 min left!"

"Oh no i only have 3 pieces of the map"

"Lucky for you i have the other 3" he said and took out his half of the map.

"Ok the treehouse is that way. Lets go" i said

"Why not i teleport us there? Its faster"

"What how?"

"Its one of my skills and didnt i already teleport us just now to save you?"

"Well true bu-"

"Get on my back"

"H-huh?"

"Look its either i piggyback you or carry you bridal style like just now so choose. Im fine with both although i kinda prefer bridal style" he said and winked

I got on his back.

"You gotta hold on to me tighter otherwise u will fall sweetheart"

"H-hey stop being a flirt and get us there" but i held onto him tighter just in case.

He threw his dagger and magically we teleported there.

"Wow that was fast"

"Yep lets search the treehouse"

We looked all around the treehouse and found a hidden door underneath a table.

"Shit its locked and i dont have a key"

"But i do" i pulled out the key i found.

"Great lets go" i unlocked the door and we jumped in. The portal this time was full of shadows and when we reached the end...
