A year later

AFTER FREDDIE INFORMED the band that John Reid wanted to meet them and maybe even manage them, the band was stoked. Especially Arabella, she finally had something to live for.

"Where is Freddie?" Arabella asked as she sat at the table with the other three boys in Queen.

"Late like always," Rodger rolled his eyes making the girl chuckle. Since she joined the band, Rodger and her have been spending time together quite a lot. Freddie swears they are a perfect match.

"You look a little nervous, Brian," John stated.

"I am not nervous, John," Brian said as Freddie walked up with an exotic jacket.

"Wow," Brian said, "I didn't know it was fancy dress, Fred?"

Freddie shrugged, "I've got to make an impression, darling."

"You look like an angry lizard," Brian said making the band mates chuckle.

"I think you look dashing," Arabella smiled.

"Thank you, my love," Freddie said.

Suddenly a man pulled up and chair and sat next to Brian. Everyone tensed up when they realized it was John Reid.

"So this is Queen?" The man said in the navy blue suit. He pointed to Freddie, "you must be Freddie Mercury, and you..." he pointed to the blond girl, "Are Arabella Smith."

"Call me Bella, Mr. Reid," The girl smiled at the man.

"You two have a gift," Reid said, "so tell me, what makes Queen different from all the other wannabe rock stars I meet?"

Freddie looked at Arabella before looking at John Reid, "I'll tell you what it is...we are five misfits who don't belong together, playing to the other misfits...the outcast right at the back of the room who are pretty sure that they don't belong either."

"We belong to them," Arabella added while she gave a smile to Freddie and her other band mates.

"We're a family," Brian said as a man in a leather jacket approached the table, placing a cop of tea in front of Reid.

The man gave Freddie an odd look which Arabella didn't like and Rodger caught on. The two blondes exchanged worried looks about the man.

"This is Paul Prenter, Paul meet Queen...our new signing," Reid said, "Paul will be looking after you day to day."

"Pleasure," Paul said.

"If I can get you on the radio, I can maybe get you on television," Reid said, making Arabella more excited than she already is.

"Really? top of the pops?" Arabella asked.

"I hope so," Reid smiled at the girl.

"And then?" Freddie asked.

Reid let out a chuckle, "and then? It's only the biggest television show of the country! No ones ever heard of ya, and look I admire your enthusiasm...if it goes well if it happens, I've got a promotion tour in japan in mind."

Arabella's eyes widened as she looked at Rodger. It was always dream to travel to places out side of London.

"W-we will want more," Freddie stuttered.

"Every band wants more!" Reid scoffed.

Arabella smiled at Freddie then to the rest of her band mates...her family, "every band is not queen."

Arabella stood next to Rodger who was sitting at the drums on the show. He tried drumming but the noise was very much off and sounded fake to the two blondes.

"This is shit," Rodger said in annoyance.

Arabella shook her head, "something isn't right."

"Freddie, Bella, boys!" Paul announced to the band, catching their attention. Arabella walked off stage and approached Paul along with Freddie and Mary.

"Look chaps, it is going to be played back, lip sync is all that's required," The man said. Arabella furrowed her eyebrows at the man.

"We do know how to play our instruments!" Rodger argued.

"You want us to lips sync?" Freddie asked as he got a little too close to the man.

"I don't understand why we can just play live," Arabella said.

"The audience will never know the difference," The man said as he got slightly uncomfortable by Freddie.

"We'll know the bloody difference," Brian snapped.

"This is the BBC, that's how things are done around here, alright?!" The man fussed and walked away. Freddie went to go after him but Arabella grabbed his arm.

"Hey, at least we are on television," Arabella smiled and walked onto the stage, "even if we don't like this decision, let's rock."

"This is the BBC," Brian mocked the man. Arabella chuckled and got to her place on the stage.

The camera's started rolling and the music started playing. Arabella looked back at Brian and then at Rodger who gave her a wink.

She sent one back and faced towards the cameras.

"She's a killer queen Gunpowder, gelatin
Dynamite with a laser beam
Guaranteed to blow your mind
Anytime"

Arabella sang her part in the song, and Freddie couldn't get over how perfect her voice fit in.
