(I know, It's a dumb name, but I was 12 when I wrote this.)

(Oh, BTW, this is all copied and pasted from a Google Doc.)

"Cupa."

"What..."

"Look at the sky."

"Yea. what about it?"

"It's beautiful."

"It is."

"He would have liked it."

"He would."

Standing In front of a grave of an old friend, Cupa and I gazed up at the sky. The grave was not any ordinary grave. It was inside a huge ruined auditorium, with huge cracks in the ceiling letting air and sunlight in. It was early morning, so when Cupa and I looked up, we could see the pale, fading moon barely visible against the pinkish morning sky. Cupa hugged closer to ranger, putting her arms around his torso. He put his arm around her shoulder and let her lean her head on his. "I miss him." Cupa said, a sad look on her face. Suddenly, an Injustice League lookout ran into the room. "General Ranger! We've located something in the south pacific!" He shouted. "Ugh. What is it..." I responded, letting go of Cupa and turning to face the lookout. "It seems to be an uncharted island. The council has requested your presence immediately." I turned to look at Cupa. She gave me an uncertain look, but nodded. "Alright," I replied. "Bring me to the council."

...

I stood in front of the council, who sat in a semicircle around me. The council room was circular, and the council sat at a semicircular desk that wrapped around half the room allow the person standing in the center of the room to see and talk to the entire council. The head of the council, an Asian teen only one year younger than me named Liu Chang, folded his hands and set them on the table, looking at me. He had a weird ring on his right index finger that supposedly gave him chi powers, which I don't believe. "I guess you have heard the news." He said, in his 'I'm calm as a flamingo' voice. "Yes," I responded. "How could I have not?" Liu tilted his head at me, but ignored my question. "An island in the south pacific. Uncharted. Your usual place of mystery." Said Amanda Hard, a thin, defined council member who sat to the right of the room. "Ships going missing. Sailors and castaways calling bullshit on seeing prehistoric nightmares." She wore a disappointed face as she looked at me. "People are calling it Death Island." Said an older member of the council, Pistol, who dressed in a navy uniform and was blind in one eye. "Says the dumbass pirate!" Amanda shouted across the room at him. Pistol frowned, a look of rage in his face, and he drew his flintlock and pointed it at her face. "Say that to my face, princess." The room erupted into chaos as Amanda lunged at pistol, causing him to drop his flintlock. A huge fight broke out as the brawl between Amanda and Pistol continued, and Liu attempted to maintain order. Suddenly, a gunshot rang through the room as I fired Pistol's flintlock at a window, bringing a cool breeze through the room. At the sound of the gunshot, everyone silenced and looked at me. I dropped the flintlock on the ground and looked back at them. "Sorry." I said. "The room was getting a bit heated." Everyone got back in their seats and resumed the meeting. "If something is going on around this Island that is bad, we have to know." Liu said. "General Ranger, I give you permission to go on a expedition to this island."

...

The minute I entered the armory, the first thing I heard was Scout shouting and complaining about someone touching his minigun. "Hey!" He shouted at me as I entered the room. "You see that!?" He said, pointing at a corner of the room. It was an old corner stuffed with cobwebs, broken guns and worn-out armor. In the center of the pile was Scout's shining golden minigun. "Some bastard stuck her in that crappy old corner!!!" He shouted with fury. "Uh huh." I responded, not seeming impressed. "You don't get it, do ya?" He said, bumping me in the chest. "NOBODY puts baby in a corner. NOBODY!" He shouted loudly for everyone could hear. Then he grinned at me and winked, which is what he usually does after he cracks a joke or references a line from a movie. "Alright, dirty dancer," I said, trying to throw his joke back at him. "Get all your...babies...packed up. We're heading to explore Death Island." Scout frowned, but got his minigun and his other gold stuff together. "Death Island, huh?" He said, looking at me, all the while strapping his golden tools and weapons on his back. "What do they have there? Apes? Dinosaurs? Aliens? All of the above?" He grinned again, seeming proud of his joke. "So far, we don't know. That's why we're headed there." I replied, while I browsed the armory for a weapon that I felt would work best on the trip. I picked up a M1 garand rifle and a tommy gun, which I both strapped to my back. I grabbed a machete, which I strapped to one side of my belt, and on the other side, I strapped a 44 Magnum. "Only four weapons?" Scout asked, surprised. " And only three of them are guns, and two out of the three are only manual load. Poor choice." He finished, trying to mock my choice of weapons. "Unlike you, I can afford this because I run faster, especially with you carrying around all that clunky gold stuff." I said, pointing to the huge assortment of golden weapons attached to his backpack. "Race you to the port." I finished, taking off and running out of the room.
