--Third POV--

Christopher, James and David walked slowly down David's driveway and down the street. None of them spoke, their minds on the girl they were going to see. They knew Chris needed to talk to her, she knew it too. They walked through the grass to her neighborhood. The boys had decided the night before- er rather at four o'clock in the morning- that they would head to her house the next morning. So there they were at ten in the morning, after getting little to no sleep, walking the last few blocks to her house.

"Do you think she'll understand, " Chris wondered aloud, not for the first time, "do you think she'll know why I couldn't talk to her, why I avoided her?"

"I dunno man. But you have to try. We all saw the way she looked at you. She still loves you. You have to believe that." James was always the one to try and get Chris to be positive. That was just the type of person he was. He never liked seeing his friends down, even though he himself had been through many traumatizing events in their short lives.

"Yea bro, you have to believe, otherwise what are we doing here?" David was always the one that made the others really think hard in the group, even if he could be extremely oblivious.

"I know guys. But do you think she would believe me if I told her that I do love her? I mean, I pretty much broke her heart. I was a total idiot and she probably hates me and never wants to see me again. Lets just go back to your place David-" Chris was cut off mid rant by both of his friends.

"No Chris, you have to do this. It's now or never." James grabbed Chris's arm as he tried to turn back.

"Dude stop. This is your last chance." David looked sternly into Chris's face.

"Alright...." Chris turned forward and they began walking again. Soon enough her house came into view and Chris grew more nervous. He let out a long sigh and looked towards her house, trying to remember which window was hers.

"Dude. We're just gunna knock on her door. You remember she mentioned a few times that it's her and her sister most of the time. " David had given an attempt at making Chris less nervous, but ultimately failed.

"Yea. But what if she told her sister? Do you think she would let us in to talk to her?" Chris began scratching and his bracelet covered wrist. They all knew how skittish he was with it. James gently caught Chris's arm and stopped him.

"Don't. You'll only make them worse. Trust me." James knew that this would make Chris stop. Bringing up his own self harm with these two boys always bothered them, but he knew they were there for him, no matter what. So he would be there for them, even through Chris's self harm.

"Yea sorry..." Chris took a deep breath, "Let's get this over with...." Together the three of them walked up to her house. The garage door was open, but the two main cars were gone, with a gold Malibu sitting to the side of the driveway. They walked through the grass straight to the front door and David rang the bell, not giving Chris another chance to try and back down. There was a silence, then the barking of her dog. David smiled to himself, remembering the energetic little yapper that was her Malti-poo. There was a door slamming from within and a voice screaming at the dog to shut up. The voice wasn't hers. Suddenly the front door was yanked open by a girl, about thirteen or fourteen, with blondish-brownish hair, looking quite flustered. She was the spitting image of her older sister.

"Oh. It's you." she stated in a deadpan, looking right at Chris. "I know you want to talk to her. I've tried getting her up already but she's sleeping and her door is locked. Come on in." She was going to let them in! One worry down, a dozen to go. Chris's mind jumped in a thousand different directions. Her door was locked? Did she have a key? Why hadn't she gotten up?

"Thanks," the three of them said as they walked into the house. It was nice; cozy.

"Her room is up the stairs, to the left and at the end of the hall by the bathroom. Here's the key. She said not to give it to anyone but I think she would appreciate you guys." she handed them a small golden key. Chris was worried, why did she lock her door? She had done something to herself last night, he knew it. He had a feeling last night that he should've texted her, given her some sort of advanced warning. Something.

The trio walked up the stairs and down the hall like her sister had instructed and James unlocked the door. It creaked open slowly and they looked in. Her room was a bright green with a small pink stripe going around the middle, and it looked as though a tornado had gone through it. All three sets of eyes fell to the blonde that laid on her bed. She looked like a wreak. Her blonde hair was splayed all around her head and on her face. She had dark bags under her eyes, like she hadn't slept in days. She probably hadn't. She wore a bright yellow sports bra and short stripped pajama bottoms. She was laying on her back, with her left arm bent and her wrist covered by her hair. She was half over the covers, with her right leg under the covers.

The boys slowly crept inside of her room and closed the door. David walked around the bed and pulled the blinds open as morning sunlight streamed into the room. Chris and James stared at her as David spoke.

"Guys.... We need to wake her up. I have a bad feeling...." David voiced what was on all of their minds.

"Victoria...." Chris croaked out her name just above a whisper. He leaned over and brushed her blonde hair away from her wrist. His eyes filled with sadness as he stared at her brutally scarred left wrist. There was dried blood and fresh wounds, it looked as though she had done it again last night. She probably had.... Chris tore his eyes away from her wrist and looked into her face. He slid his hand into her right one and interlocked their fingers as he knelt down next to her bed.

"Victoria... Victoria.... Victoria wake up! Come on.... Tori! Wake up!" Chris's voice rose slowly from a whisper to an almost panicked shout. She stirred and started mumbling incoherently.

"Chris.... Chris please.... I don't want to deal with this anymore...." they could only make out a few phrases, but what they heard worried them all.

"Don't worry babe I'm here. Talk to me. Come on wake up. David and James are here too...." Chris pleaded with her. Tori's eyes fluttered and opened half way to stare into Chris's eyes.

"You're really here," she breathed. "The guys too...." she turned her head slightly to see James and David.

"mmmm sorry I look so awful.... Had a rough night.... Took a few pills...." Her eyes fluttered shut as she mumbled out the words
