Klaus couldn't face Reagan again. He had tried to get clean for her and failed miserably. It had been a few days since had last seen her, although he had gone to her apartment when she was at shows to get his clothes.
Her apartment. He didn't deserve to call it his.
"You don't seem like your normal annoying self," Diego commented. Klaus just shrugged and took a sip of his whiskey. "What's going on?"
"It doesn't matter," Klaus said angrily.
"Obviously it does if you're gonna act like a dick bag about it," Diego answered.
Klaus screwed his eyes shut. "I met this girl, and I fucked it up," he said, and slammed his cup down on his knee.
Diego knew what it was like to fuck it up with a girl. He wouldn't let Klaus make that same mistake.
"Let's go talk to her," Diego suggested.
"That's a horrible idea!" Klaus said, but he followed Diego none the less. "I'm not ready!"
"Well then get ready," Diego shrugged. "You have five minutes to change, I'll be in the car."
Klaus growled to himself, but he still went to change. He put on skinny jeans with holes in the knees, a black tank top and converse. He grabbed his eyeliner and put it on as he walked through the halls.
"You're looking fancy," Allison said as he passed her in the hallway.
"Going to get the love of my life back," he said simply, leaving her stunned in the hallway.
"Did he say what I think he just said?" Luther asked as Klaus slammed the front door.
"He sure did."
Klaus jiggled his leg anxiously. On his way from the door to Diego's car he popped another pill, even if he did feel bad about it. Too many people had died at that bar.
"We need to go to The Underground," Klaus said as Diego pulled away from the house.
"I've been there before, it's cool," Diego said, trying to make conversation.
"Only if Reagan's there," Klaus said, staring out the window.
"Her name is Reagan?" Diego asked.
"And she's the best," Klaus said absentmindedly.
Diego decided to let it drop. Klaus was about to act like an adult for once, and he didn't want to mess that up. When they pulled up to the bar, Klaus was out of the car before Diego even parked.
"Hey, wait for me!" Diego said and ran after Klaus.
"...and we are Hecate," a girl said as Diego entered the doors. Klaus was standing in front of them, just staring at the stage.
"That her?" Diego asked and Klaus nodded.
The girl looked sad, and she had large dark circles under her eyes. Diego knew they were large because he could see them from the back of the venue.
What doesn't kill you, makes you wish you were dead
Got a hole in my soul, growing deeper and deeper
And I can't take
One more moment of this silence, the loneliness is haunting me
And the weight of the world's getting harder to hold upIt comes in waves, I close my eyes
Hold my breath and let it bury me
I'm not okay, and it's not alright
Won't you drag the lake and bring me home again?Who will fix me now, dive in when I'm down?
Save me from myself, don't let me drown
Who will make me fine, drag me out alive?
Save me from myself, don't let me drown

Past. |Klaus Hargreeves|
FanfictionI fell in love with the girl at the rock show. Klaus only planned on finding his next high, but he got much more than he bargained for. Starts before Umbrella Academy, loosly follows the storyline. Related to Fighter., my Diego Hargreeves story.
