Maybe It's Just A (Really Weird) Coincidence?

"I just wanna know what's out there for me. Maybe I'll even end up with him." I paced back and forth in front of my friends.

"Kayla, give it up. It's never going to happen," Shelby said and sighed. 

"Yeah and I think the same for Jardon. That doesn't mean it's going to happen, Kayla." Amanda spoke up. 

"Let her dream, guys. Give her some hope," Hope said and smiled a little at her lame pun. 

"We all want to know what's out there. But just let it happen," Sam said.

"I know but--" I started.

"Just go with it, Kayla. Let the future take it's own path," Arin interrupted me. I sighed and sat down.

"Fine, you're right." They let out a breath of relief. 

But I wouldn't lose hope.
