Miraculous One-Shots (Mostly Angst)

So this used to be a story called "Not Worth It" But I removed most of the story, like almost 400 words, and that doesn't work anymore. Also I still don't like it very much, but hey, I don't hate it!

TW: Major character death.

Adrien sat at the table staring down at his plate and waiting for his father, even though he knew he wasn't coming. After a few minutes Natalie entered the room, she looked sadly at the boy who had become like a son to her since his mother's disappearance.

   "There is no need to wait for your father, Adrien." Natalie told him.

Adrian sighed and stood.
"I'm going to go finish getting ready for school then." he stated a hint of sadness in his voice.

Adrien started towards the stairs, but stopped at the doors of his fathers office when he heard his voice. He couldn't quite make out what he was saying so he moved closer to the door, pressing his ear against it, but froze when he heard another voice, this one small and high-pitched.

He still couldn't hear what either voice was saying and by this point he was beyond curious. Suddenly the door swung open and he jumped back. His father stood in the doorway with a surprised expression that quickly changed to one of annoyance,
"What were you doing?" he asked a bit angrily.

   "I'm sorry, I was just curious..." Adrien said.

   "What have I told you about your curiosity? It could easily get you in a lot of trouble." he told him.

Adrien nodded, understanding what was meant by that, he wanted to ask who the other voice was but he didn't, instead he headed to his room to grab his school bag.

Chat Noir stood leaning on his baton, waiting for Ladybug, who at that moment landed on the roof behind him, she walked over and he smiled at her.

   "Hello, M'lady. " he said with a smile, skipping the cat pun pickup line.

   "Hello, kitty. Where's the Akuma?" she asked.

As if on cue, a girl, who looked to be around their age, suddenly appeared in front of them. Her eyes were glowing, one blue and the other red. Her costume was black and red and she carried a scythe.

She smiled darkly but didn't say anything. She then disappeared for a second before reappearing behind Chat. He saw her but didn't have time to react before getting kicked across the roof. He sat up with a slight groan and for a minute he just watched Ladybug fight the silent villain, whom he realized was teleporting. Once he realized this He got up and back into the battle.

After a few minutes something caught Ladybugs attention and she looked away from the fight. Out of the corner of his eye Chat saw a purple butterfly shaped mask thing appear over the girls eyes. He knew by now that meant Halkmoth was talking to her, she smiled and disappeared again only to reappear a second later, scythe raised to attack Ladybug.

There was no time to warn her, Chat dashed over and threw himself in front of Ladybug, putting up his baton to stop the sythe, but it phased right through it, hitting him instead, his eyes widened in pain, and he fell to the ground when the girl pulled her scythe back.

Ladybug watched in horor as Chat fell to the ground, she turned to the girl, enraged. She somehow managed to take down the girl and set the butterfly free.

Turning to Chat she ran to his side, pulling him into her arms, "Chat? Chat! Open your eyes!" she said, he did so but his eyes were glazed over, "you're going to be just fine, I'll get you to a hospital, just hold on." she told him.

He looked up at her once more before his eyes fell closed and he stopped breathing. Ladybug tried desperately to revive him but it didn't work, there was a bright green light and Ladybug looked away. After a few seconds she looked back, there, in Chats place, lay Adrien Agreste, her friend and crush.

With a chocked sob, she pulled him closer, crying into his chest.

Eh, still pretty terrible but I tried, still really bad at endings.
