My life feels like it just ended. I just got the news that we are movin. Hi I'm Laney. I am from Texas. I love ridin horses, goin campin, fishin, four-wheelin, and goin to rodeos. I have a twin brother, his name is Lane. I am movin and I will have to leave all my friends. My best friends name is Jake. I like hangin out with guys because girls are way too much drama, and I HATE drama.

I am headed to Jakes to tell him bye, now that I am done packing. I told him earlier that I was leaving and he was speechless. We have been friends since 2nd grade and have done everything together. I pull up to his house and he is sitting on his front porch. I knew he would be waiting for me after I texted him. I hop out of my truck into the gravel. He runs up to me an gives me a big bear hug. I can't believe I am leaving him.

"Laney! I can't believe you are leaving me. Now who's going to ride horses with me, and don't you dare say Sarah. Just because she has a crush on me doesn't mean I like her." Jake says.

"Woah there Jake. Calm down. We are still going to be able to talk. I do have a phone and there is alway Skype." I say.

"I know but it just won't be the same."

"It will be just like I am here. We will talk everyday, I promise. But the first couple weeks I might forget, so you will just have to shoot me a text so I remember."

"Ok I got it. I love you Laney, your like a sister to me. I will talk to you soon."

"Love you too Jake. I will let you know when I make it."

We just pulled in to our new drive way. It isn't the biggest house, but our family doesn't care about money.

My brother is the first one out of the truck. He has been complaining since we left. It was really starting to get on my nerves. I hop out next, stretch my legs, then ask my mom for the key so I can go check it out.

I get in the front door and I am amazed. It looks small on the outside, but on the inside, it looks like a mansion. All our stuff is here because the movers left early. We just have the horses in the trailer. I walk around and check it out. I go to my room last. I don't have a whole lot of stuff but I don't need that much.

When I am done inside I go check out the back yard. It is also very big, and we have two fields with a barn between them. I walk down to the barn and see that all my saddles made it just fine. I walk out front and help my dad out with the horses. I drive the truck down the side drive to the barn. I unload all the horses into their stalls and begin feeding. We brought what hay we had left, and after that long ride there isn't a whole lot left. I told my dad I would go buy some more tomorrow.

When we finish with dinner I head up to my room to call Jake. I completely forgot to call him when we first arrived.

As I wait for him to answer I look around and think about how I want my room set up. The movers unpacked my boxes but they didn't set up how I wanted it.

"LANEY!!!" Jake screams into the phone.

"Hi Jake. If you scream like that one more time I won't be able to hear you anymore." I laugh.

"I was worried about you. I didn't think you told me it would take that long to get there." He says worriedly.

"Haha about that, we made it a couple hours ago but I forgot to call you. I told you, you would have to cut me some slack these first couple weeks."

"I know. I know. Sorry. How's the house?"

"It's great. I wish you could have been here with me to check it out."
