I just got finished stackin hay. I head out the barn and towards the house. I decide to make me some tacos for dinner. My dad is still out of town and I am watchin the house and takin care of the critters.

I cut up some tomatoes, lettuce, olives, and some mushrooms. I grab the sour cream and cholula out of the fridge. I dish up an dig in.

After dinner I go out an check on the horses and turn the barn lights off. I head back towards the house and up to my room.

The next morning my alarm clock goes off and I get out if bed. I go feed the horses and water the horses then head upstairs to shower. I get dressed in some wranglers, a t-shirt, and my Ariat's. I lock up the house and head to my truck. I start it and let it warm up for a few minutes.

When I get to school I hurry and stop by my locker and grad my science book. When I turn to leave I bump into someone. I turn to see who it is.

"God Matt. Watch where you're goin!" I yell at him.

"Sorry man. I was tryin not to be late."

"Well science isn't goin anywhere."

"Ok ok. Sorry."

"It's alright. Now lets get to class!"

After science I am headed down the hallway towards my locker when I bump into someone. When I look up to start yelling, I can't. I am lookin into the most beautiful blue eyes I ever did see.

"Sorry. I can get kinda clumsy sometimes. My bad." she says lookin up at me.

"It's mighty alright darlin. You okay?" I say as politely as I can.

"Yep I'm fine." She says.

"Well, I guess I will let ya on your way so you're not late to class." I say to her with a smile.

"Why thank you." She says along with the prettiest smile.

~ ~ After school ~ ~

I pull up to The Little Acorn convenient store. I pump and fill my truck with gas, and run inside to grab a drink and a snack.

On my way up to the register I bump into someone. Ok this really needs to stop. I pick up my stuff and look up, once again into those beautiful blue eyes.

"We really need to stop meetin like this little lady." I try to say to her non awkwardly.

"Yeah. Maybe you should watch where your walking." she smiles and laughs at me.

"It's Laney right. You're the one who just bought hay from me right?"

"Yep I sure am and hopefully again in the future. You have a great deal on it."

"Well to tell you the truth I charge more, but when I saw those eyes I couldn't make you pay the original price." I say smilin not lookin at her from embarrassment.

"Oh. I did not know that. Well thank you very much." She says givin me the biggest smile.

"Um now that I've got that out there I was wonderin if I could get you're number, Mam?"

"I don't see why not. You got some paper?"

"No but I got my phone." I hand it to her to put her number in. She hands it back to me and smiles.

"Well I will see ya at school" she says adding on a smile and small wave, "bye."

"See ya" I say wavin back at her.

~ ~ After dinner ~ ~

I couldn't think of anything to do when I was done with dinner. Then I remember, I got that beautiful little Laney's number.

I text her:

Me: Hey pretty lady.

Her: Who's this?

Me: Oh yeah it's Ryland.

Her: oh Hey. What are you up to?

Me: Not a whole lot. Just tryin to think of somethin to do.

Her: Oh I see. How's that workin for ya.

Me: Not too great. Haha

Her: What have you thought of so far?

Me: Textin you.

Her: Really?

Me: Yep

Her: Hey I got to go take care of my horses and do some homework. I will talk to ya later.

Me: Ok talk to ya later.
