"No." I say. No as if in, no I don't understand how you got that. Was I supposed to? Probably. But hey its whatever.
My new friend runs his thin thin fingers through his light blue hair as he sighs in exasperation. Light blue is slightly sleepy. I guess its better than my dark blue hair, which seems to be permanent these days. Its gotten me some worried looks from my parents and people at school but since tomorrow is the last final and day of school it will hopefully be fading and changing to something else.
I finally figured out this guy's name. He said he was top of his class so I did some investigating and figured him out to be Aiden Culliver. I haven't told him I know who he is yet because I like the feeling of having something over him. I still don't like him but he's managed to help me out so I've kept him around.
Aiden reaches over and taps one of his nails on the paper. "No, see? You divided by the 4x when you were supposed to subtract 2." While he explained my many faults, he gestured to numbers on the page. "I thought this was science, not math!" I groan as I slump down in my seat and put my head in my hands.
He chuckled at my dismay, "Math and science are very closely linked. You can't have one without having the other."
I groan again. "This is so pointless! Why would I ever have to know this!" My new 'friend' has the nerve to laugh. I glance up at him and notice something very disturbing. His hair is bubblegum pink. "I uhhhh. I have to go...orthodontist appointment... yea... bye!"
He looks confused and maybe a little bit hurt as I make up some obviously fake excuse and hurry to get my stuff together. And I imagine he has that same look on his face as I rush out the door and don't look back.
This guy cannot like me. Nope, certainly not. Can't have that happening. Nopety nope. My thoughts are jumbled as I quickly walk home. For one, I know practically nothing about him and two, I don't even like boys. I've got a whole girlfriend! And he doesn't even know! (I think)
Either way, this whole thing is a massive train wreck.
