Chapter 12.

Ruby's POV:

Me and Aunt Raven ran through the woods, practically looking under every stick and leaf to find Y/N. During our search, all I could think about is how much I really hate myself. What kind of older sister cuts their little brother, even worse laughs at him as he begs for it all to stop. He never deserved any of this. But now I'm realizing, Yang and mom were the ones that got me into this. They...THEY were the ones that taught me how to torture. I was never like this, I was as innocent as a child could be but...they were the influence. Yang and mom-no..Summer were the ones who almost killed Y/N! Yang took his eye and Summer shot him! "Grrrrr..." I gritted my teeth, clenching my fists tightly, enraged by my realization. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked to see Aunt Raven looking at me with a face of worry. "Ruby are you ok? Did you find a clue as to where Y/N is?" "Dont touch me monster!" I squeaked, pushing her away from me. She stumbled back and looked at me, completely lost with the situation. "Ruby? What are you saying?" I started to tear up. "You gave me that damn knife! You told me it was ok but it wasn't ok! Why'd you do it!? Why did you corrupt me!?" I screamed. "R-Ruby what are you talking about?" I huffed and ignored her question. I walked off deeper into the woods, continuing my search when I heard voices. I could barely make them out so I sneakily walked closer towards them. It sounded like a woman and....Y/N!?

Y/Ns POV:

"I-i dont trust you!" I yelled at the lady named Cinder. She let out a sigh, placing a hand on her hip. I watched cautiously, not wanting her to try and surprise attack me. "Look, sweetheart, if you come with me, I can get you fed and warmed up ok? That's what you've been trying to do this whole time isn't it?" She said with a small smile. I nodded slowly, taking in this offer. Either I freeze and die, or put my last little bit on trust in this womans hands. I thought about it for a while and nodded as I walked towards her. "Now there's a good boy. Now come along so we can fill up that little tummy" she held out her hand and I reached out to grab it. "DONT YOU TOUCH HIM!" I heard a familiar voice scream. I quickly turned around and saw ruby dashing towards me. She engulfed me in the tightest hug ever and pointed at the Cinder woman. "Dont come near my little brother!" She screamed. I was completely shocked and confused at what had just happened. "Oh my. So this is your baby brother now is it? How cute. Maybe I could recruit the both of you" Cinder spoke, a slightly darker tone of voice. "Recruit? W-what do you mean recruit!?" Ruby screamed. "I-i meant take under my wing" Cinder said, correcting herself. I pushed myself out of Ruby's arms and ran to the cinder woman, hugging her legs tightly. "Please just take me! Take me away from her! I dont want to be anywhere near her!" I pleaded, burying my face into her legs. She seemed tensed up but then spoke up. "Well child, of that's what you want, that's what you'll get" "NO! LEAVE HIM ALONE!" I turned around to see ruby charging towards us. I was frightened so I hugged cinder tighter, a waiting the impact of ruby. She went to swing a punch at Cinder but cinder swiftly grabbed her arm and threw her to the floor quite hard. I watched in shock as ruby groaned in pain. "Its a shame I couldn't take the both of you. Oh well" and with those last few words, cinder then swiftly moved us away and we made our way out.

Ruby's POV:

"Ruby! Ruby!" I heard Raven yell as she was searching for me. I sat up weakly, rubbing my head. Eventually she found me and dropped down to aid me. "Ruby!? Are you ok!? What happened to you!?" She pulled me into her arms and I teared up. "I...I found him...but...but he got away.." i said, sad and broken again. "Y/N? How did he get away sweetheart? You're much faster then him" she said, confused. "A woman took him..he..he kept calling her cinder" i said as i wrapped my arms around her. I then felt her tense up in my arms. "Cinder Fall..." "you know her?" I asked looking up at her, tears streaming down my face. "That's not important ok? We have to get home now ok?" And with that, she picked me up and put me on her back, rushing us back towards the house.

Ravens POV:

I needed to warn Summer and the rest of the guys that Cinder had taken Y/N. That woman would have Y/N dead withing a few days. I could feel the back of my shirt getting wet from Ruby's crying. "Shhh it's ok ruby. Everything will turn out right" "y-yes aunty.." she whimpered. I could now see light coming from where the house was but as I got closer, I noticed the light...was flames. My eyes widened as I got out of the Bush area and stopped, horrified by what I saw. The house was in flames. Fire raged through the house, parts of the house starting to collapse. "N-no.....SUMMER!? TAI!? ANYONE!" I fell to my knees and felt my eyes water. Ruby was screaming as she watched house go down in flames. "H-how?..." I then looked around and then spotted..those eyes...the amber eyes glowed in the darkness of the trees before disappearing back into the forest...
