Jonah's POV.

Once we got to my house, Grace was out cold. She fell asleep in my car so as soon as I got to my house I carried her to the living room. I placed my hand on her head. She felt warm, not warm enough that she had a fever though.

I walked to the kitchen getting a wet paper towel. To my view there was a small piece of paper on the window. I took it from the window and read it out loud.

"Heyo big bro! Mom and Dad left to a small 'honeymoon' to the Bahamas which dad was off from work. Zebulon went out to eat with his girlfriend and Svea went to sleep over at Stefanie's again. I'll be gone for tonight, I'll be back around 8. Take care big bro! -Esther"

I sighed with a smile, the sun was already going down. It was around 6 already. I leaned on the counter for a minute. When school was over there was 30 minutes until it was the girl baseball tryouts which Grace participated in. Then two hours later was my tryout and this happened. I regained my strength and walked over to Grace.

I keeled down to her and put the damp paper towel on her forehead. I moved her hair carefully from her face and took off her glasses. She looked so peaceful. As if nothing in the world bothered her. I let her sleep as the sun started to go into it's slumber. I waited by her side. I did make some food if she were to wake up anytime soon or if Esther to come back as well.

I turned on the baseball channel and watched the game that started to play for the time being. I felt a few movements coming from behind me. She stated to wake up. I put the TV on mute and looked at her. Her face came into an scared expression.

"Where am I?!" He jumped up and looked around frantically.

"Hey, hey. You're at my house. It's Jonah, you're okay" I said kneeling down in in front of her. She started to take in deep breaths. Her chest went up and down rapidly but soon went to a normal paste.

She looked around my house, observing the living room. She looked up at the TV and nodded.

"What happened?" She asked sitting up. I stood up and put my hand on her knee.

"Uh, I don't really know. Once I was back from tryouts, Daniel was yelling at you. He went on about, uh, last summer and during childhood." I tried to remember what actually happened from. Which now thinking about it, I have no idea what happened. She nodded slightly and sighed.

"I'm sorry about that, Jonah." Her voice went soft and she tried to stand up. I stood up and placed my hand on her shoulders. Tsk, Shorty.

"No, sit back down. You just woke up from fainting. You're staying at my house for a bit until you get back on your feet." She opened her mouth to agrue but soon closed it. I was surprised. She didn't argue like usual. I stood up and got a towel. I wet it and put it on her head.

"Can I ask why he was yelling at you?" I focused my eyes on her legs here theres a few scrapes as I tened to it with another wet towel. I touched it, she flinged a bit.

"Ah! Sorry." I gently said.

Grace's POV.

I sighed and looked away.

Should I tell him?

I thought for a min and sigh. I don't know why I told him but I did, something about him made me so warm like he did before

"Daniel and I . . dated back in freshman year. I was head over heals for him, but after about our 7th month being together something was wrong with us. He became distant therefore I did too." I rubbed my arm and looked at him. He wasn't looking at me, just treating my scraps.

"There was this one night that he came over to talk." I leaned back, "It fuzzy so I don't remember. We were arguing, he slapped me in anger. Which I don't blame him."

He was looking at me now, his chocolate eyes landed on mine.

"Why did he slap you?"

"It was out of anger . . At that point I closed off my feeling to him, so I would make him happy. He new scaring me or force would break me. It was my fault-"

"Bullshit." Jonah said standing up, I flinched and looked at him. "He shouldn't have done that. He should respected that you didn't want to talk about it and left it like that. Especially if he hit you!!"

I looked down. I've told no one this, not even Dream. Hearing for once from someone else that it wasn't my fault was so relieving. He crouched down in front of me.

"That's all he did?" I nodded to his responce, "After that night I told him that I didn't feel safe with him and that we are over." I ruffled my hair.

"Daniel never said that you two were ever together. He's only said terrible things of you."

I laughed a bit, "No surprise there. He said that he would make my life miserable if I told anyone . . which I never did until now."

He looked at me with a pained expression. "I'm so sorry you'd have to go through that, Grace."

I shrugged, "It's been a year. I'm long over that, I'm just surprised that he even bring it up in the first place." I sighed and sat up.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to pour everything on you. Please don't think any less of him." He sighs and nodded.

"Let me take you home now."

Sorry for all the grammar and spelling mistakes! I hope you all have a good one
