He stopped in frount of my house.
"You live so close to me," He snickered and looked at me. I smiled back and nodded.
"I never noticed that, huh?" I looked at my house as my grandma's room light was on. I started to unbuckle my seatbelt and got of the car. I heard his side of the door
"Oh! You don't have to come with me," I said and looked up at him.
"It's the gentleman thing to do~!" He said cheerfully. I sighed and nodded. I didn't know what to feel. I tried to be happy so he wouldn't be concerned.
We walked to my front of my door. He looked at me with a worried expression.
"Are you ok-"
"You wont tell Daniel that I told you right?" I refused to look at him. He turned me around, making me look at him. His fingers softly on my chin, as his eyes shined into mine with sympathy and a bit of anger.
"I won't tell him anything but you shouldn't be living in fear of whatever me might do. All you need is a few good friends that trust you. And you can count me as one of them." He smiled with the words coming from his mouth. I started at it, he had what it looked like soft lips.
The door opened. I jumped and looked up to see my grandmother looking at me.
"Grace!" She hugged me, "My lord where have gone?! It's around 6 at night!" She looked up at Jonah and became surpised.
"Oh! You've been with this young fellow! I mean you should've texted me!"
"No- No it's not what you think it is-" I felt my face going red.
"Ah! No uh, she fanted and I took her to my house until she woke up. I'm so sorry to cause you any concern." He smiled and scratched the back of his head. My Ma's face lift up and smiled.
"That's good! Uh Im Celeste! You can come in!" Ma greeted. Oh no! The deal! if he comes in I'm dead!
"I'm Jonah, and you sure?"
I jumped and nodded, "Yeah! Ma, isn't it a bit late?"
She shook her head and welcome him in. Jonah stepped in my house. I held my breath knowing the victory of my Ma. Jonah looked around, admiring my house.
"Coffee?" Ma said walking to the kitchen.
"Ah! Yes please." Jonah called out to her. He turned around and looked at me with a smile. I smiled back but deeply inside I wanted to cry. How was I going to explain that we made a bet and that he has to come to my competition. Ma gave served us coffee.
"So! How long have you known Grace?" Ma said as she looked at him. He looked at me and smiled.
"Uh from our friend Corbyn."
"Ah! Corbyn! Make sure I said hi next time you see him. And to come by sometime." Ma smiled at me and I nodded to her request.
We talked for a while and soon the night turned dark. I walked Jonah back to the car.
"Thank you for coming in and being nice to Ma." I smiled
"Thank you for not killing me once I stepped in your house." He laughed at me. The silent night filled in around us. We just stared at each other.
"Uh.. well I'll see you tomorrow!" I clapped my hands
"Right! Bye!"
Jonah left. I smiled as he drove away from my house. I'll see you tomorrow, Marais.
Sorry for all the grammar and spelling mistakes! I hope you all have a good one
