+ The sound of an obnoxious alarm woke Rory Hargreeves with a gasp. Another nightmare had ruined her night...

She groaned and rolled over to poke the 'snooze' button on her alarm clock before stretching and tossing the comforter off of her legs.

"Good morning Benji." She gave a soft smile to the small cat walking around her feet. "Sleep well?" Rory knows that her cat would never reply, but she still loved to start her morning with conversation.

After brewing a pot of coffee and pouring herself a cup, Rory plopped down on the couch with a small huff then reached over to grab the remote, turning the tv on for background noise.

The story rolling across the bottom of the news channel made her freeze. 'SIR REGINALD HARGREEVES PRENOUNCED DEAD.'

This couldn't be real, it just couldn't. Dad. her Dad, was gone? there's no way.

What Rory was feeling wasn't sadness, No. More like shock. Nobody expected him to die so suddenly, couldn't Pogo or Mom have prevented it? The whole situation didn't settle right in her mind.

The only thing that Rory knew for sure is that it was finally time for her to go back Home.

Doors never looked so menacing as they did now. These doors led to her entire childhood, all the wonderful and horrible memories were made right here.

She took a deep breath and walked inside, nostalgia flooded her system as her eyes danced around the room. All the familiar settings made her throat tighten slightly.

She was always sensitive.

"Rory?"

Diego popped his head out of the living room, smiling at his little sister before rushing to her.

"Heya!" She smiled and embraced her brother tightly. "How have you been Diego? it's been too long."

"It's been uh, eventful to say the least." He pulled away and looked at Rory. Now even though all the siblings were aware of the accident, he was still so surprised to see someone his own age with the body of a teenager.

"I'm so glad... everyone else here?" She took her coat off, laying it across her arm and glancing into the living room.

Diego nodded and escorted her into the room, where Allison and Vanya sat quietly, The tension in the room made Rory's hands fidget.

Ignoring the feeling, she immediately gave a bright smile, "Vanya! Allison!" Rory approached both of her sisters, giving them each a hug.

"Rory!! we've missed you." Allison finally spoke up and grabbed her sister's shoulders, giving her the same look Diego had moments ago.

She always hated how they looked at her after the accident.

Vanya was quick to catch up with her sister and give her an awkward hug back, not engaging in any long conversations before sitting back down.

Rory felt a pang of guilt in her heart as she looked at her sister sitting alone, After Vanya published her book, the entire family gave her the cold shoulder. No one could blame them, she exposed the family's deepest secrets, even Rory felt angry with her sister after she read it.

"Sooo. Where's uh Klaus and Luther then?" She questioned setting her bag down and taking a seat on a barstool, still feeling strangely uncomfortable with the setting. All her family being in one house again was unfamiliar.
