The next ten days was hectic for the law enforcement and judicial team who filed a case against Indrani and the rest.

DSP Siddharth and Public Prosecutor wasted no time in meeting the DIG along with all the evidence they have gathered so far, including eye witness statements from Gurmeet Singh, Yash Vashisht and Shyam Kaka for pressing charges against Indrani for attempted murder of Advay and accessory to murder charges against Rana and his gang members, as well Shantanu.

The reopened cold case to investigate into the deaths of Ramakrishna and Janaki Kashyap strengthened further, as they were able to procure conditional testimony of Rana who finally gave statement that he chased them to their death on the order of Indrani and Shantanu. And even went after their young kids endangering their lives.

The Change of heart for Rana wasn't due to any newly found guilty sentiments but explaining of some hard truths by DSP Siddharth and PP Yusuf Khan.

"Rana!! Why did you think Indrani asked that your men be sent away to Chandni's house and Miku's hotel for "look out"? She wanted your men out of the way, so that when Shantanu and his gang arrived, she was planning to use those goons to finish you and Kanhaiya after dealing with Advay."

After what happened at the factory, Rana had lost all faith in Indrani but this was a new low. Rana's face turned dark. His whole gang was in custody now. He felt no hope for his future but his sons were, as far as he was concerned, innocent. Manish was already in jail and he didn't want the same fate to his younger son Ratnesh.

In the end, even for a hard-core criminal like Rana, it was his love for his sons that acted as a catalyst to change his mind and confess to his crimes. Yusuf Khan promised him that his son Manish would be let out of Prison sooner, and no charges will be laid against Ratnesh in exchange for his confession. Kanhaiya was given no reprieve and was charged as accessory to murder.

The DIG personally got involved as it was a high-profile case and a lot of political pressure was brought to drop or decrease charges against Indrani, but he stood firm and gave all the support possible to Yusuf Khan and Siddharth, so that they can do their job freely, without fear or repercussions.

Yash was discharged from hospital after 5 days but was ordered complete bed rest owing to his general health condition and age.

Dev was in ICU for longer than expected and was under sedation too, even after he was moved to a normal room. There was an infection that set in which had to be treated first. Chandni was with him, attending to Dev all the time apart from Miku and his parents and Gurmeet.

On the day of his discharge, Yash requested to be taken to the ICU on a wheel chair, where he sat near Dev's bed for quite some time and just looked at his bandaged face.

Gurmeet was waiting outside as Chandni brought Yash back to his room.

"I wish I hadn't panicked and pulled the trigger on Indrani. All those injuries to Dev, they are because of me." Yash couldn't help but blurt out the guilt that was plaguing him ever since.

"Arrey Yash ji!! Never think like that!! The way that woman.... I am sorry the way Mrs Vashisht was behaving at that time, even I was scared that she was going to pull the trigger on Advay at any moment. Of course, if DSP Siddharth was there earlier, this wouldn't have happened, but he had bigger problem to face isn't it?" Gurmeet quickly dismissed Yash's guilty feelings.

Yash looked at Chandni, who was busy packing the medicines and other essentials in the room and sighed. What was done, was done. Now is the time to .... His thoughts were interrupted as he suddenly remembered.
