Long ago, at Mount. Eris, a ship was sinking, and people could be heard screaming. Queen Novo, along with her guards, heard the noise and rushed to find out what was going on. A human woman was running on the deck while holding a small bundle, and she coughed from the smoke. Suddenly, another passenger accidentally pushed her overboard, and she screamed as she hit the water. Queen Novo saw this, and she transformed into a Seapony using the Pearl.
She then dived underwater, and saw the woman. The woman was bleeding, and was sinking fast. Queen Novo grabbed her, and swam up to the surface where she began to try and heal her wounds. "Come on.... Stay with us...". The woman simply shook her head, and said "It's.... Too.... Late..... My only regret is I'll never see her grow....". Novo began to silently cry, and she screamed "Stay with us!!!!!".
The woman's eyes closed, and her wrist became limp. Novo looked down, ashamed that she couldn't save her. A baby crying suddenly came from the small bundle the woman was holding. Novo looked to it, and removed the wraps, seeing the small baby girl; the woman's daughter. The baby had green eyes, and she was crying, slightly scared of Novo. Novo began to rock her, shushing at her gently.
The baby suddenly calmed down, and reached up to Novo, curious. Novo smiled, and already felt a bond form between them. The baby smiled, and said "Mama.". Novo laughed, and smiled brightly. The baby giggled, but began to cry as soon as she saw Novo's mother, Queen SeaStar. SeaStar became offended, but Novo said "No no, she's a nice Hippogriff!".
The baby soon giggled at SeaStar. SeaStar smiled as she let the small baby play with her claw, and the baby giggled as she nibbled on one of her claws. Novo smiled proudly, but then the baby began to cry, hungry. Novo groaned as she saw she didn't have anything on her. The baby calmed down, but glared right at Novo.
Novo looked horrified by this, so she asked her Lady-in-waiting to get her something for the baby to eat or drink. The baby giggled, and said "Mama!!". Novo cuddled the small baby, finally getting some baby food from Ocean Flow. The baby giggled, and tugged on Novo's wing. Novo tickled her stomach, smiling.
The baby giggled, and clapped her hands. She whimpered when she saw Novo's new husband, King Tidal Wave, nervous. Novo said "Oh, don't worry, baby!! That's just your Dada!!". The baby then reached for him, and giggled. "Dada!". Tidal Wave then laughed as Novo smiled.
