Because I Say So

I think I speak for every child out there between the ages of 3-18 that this is absolutely the worst excuse out there for parents and the most hated.

Let me just say to the parents that what you are about to read, will probably anger you. But it is about time it is made public.

Anytime an adult does something unjustified or wrong or it clearly just doesn't make sense and you question it, you get the same answer every time.

"Because I say so" .

Like how does that even make SENSE

Okay, so by saying that you are teaching your children and kids everywhere you can get away with things, because you say you can.

That's just splendid. How about next time a child misbehaves . Better yet how about next time a kid murders their ENTIRE family, because "they say so".

What exactly are you teaching your children here.

that you can get away with the simplest of things, because you say so. Like honestly you can argue about how you're buttoning your shirt with your parent and they make you do it crazy , thus you having a lopsided shirt because "they say so".

Its not only an irrelevant statement, but it INFURIATES the child like no other. Because as children we are all curios creatures if you do not have a answer to what you are doing then there's no point in doing it. Also, parents will mostly likely use that statement as a conversation dropper.

Like no kidding, once you hear that don't expect another word from them.

*comes down stairs wearing a blue sweater*

"Hey mom"

"Take that off"

"Wait, what ."

"Go put on the green one"

"Why. mom I like this one better"

"Because I say so"

"Mom please I like it cause-"

*Gives you the look*

*silently goes and changes*

Like for all her mother could know that her daughter's math teacher could secretly molest girls who wear green sweaters.

But NOOOO . Once they say "because I say so" you can't say not one other word. And you don't , because that is what's expected of you. Unless you're sassy and can't be tamed. Then expect yourself to grow up with no discipline and be on the streets.

Anyway,

NOTE TO PARENTS :

If you DONT have a RATIONAL explanation to your CHILDREN to why you are doing something, ANYTHING . then just don't do it. Because as a result, you are teaching them to murder you because they "say so"
