there is rage
embedded in his every pore,
blinding him,
deafening him,
rendering him incapable of anything else
he wants nothing more
than revenge,
revenge on everyone
and everything
that never loved her
because he loved her
more than anything else
in this cruel,
horrible,
convoluted world
she left him,
with nothing more than a note,
something that explained
the jagged cuts
that aligned her frail wrists
and that note
is what breaks him
right in half,
beginning somewhere
where his heart used to be
her blood marks his vision red,
it kills him on the inside,
because he knows
her last breath
was his last one too
she took him with her
took his love
took his happiness
took his life
took his everything
because no one seemed to care,
but she was his everything
his whole world,
his whole life
his everything
