((Sorry i havent written when everyone met yet so we're doin a timeskip i guess-))

I know some people are like Nano, they never have been to a public school and that makes it hard for them. But I grew up in a public school. I don't have an excuse like they do. But, even without an excuse I still seem to fail. It's not even because I'm dumb! I apparently am smarter than most kids that go to my school, and I learn faster than most people I know, yet still, I'm failing.

My Dads think it's the band that's making me fail, they think I'm spending too much time with the band than on my schoolwork. But that doesnt even make sense because, they found a box full of late school papers, all completed. Yeah, I'm completing my work. Yeah, I take notes and pay attention in class. Yeah, I ace every test I've taken.

I don't even know why I'm failing to be honest. Neither do my dads, brother, cousins, principal, friends, or even my psychiatrist.

My cousin, McD, he says I'm a lost cause. His sister thinks HE's the lost cause though, he's failing too but only because he doesn't try, and doesn't care. Man, I wish I could be like that... But there's so much to care about, how can I not care?

I was walking down the street, heading over to the dollar store for a chocolate bar, when I see these two kids I've never seen before. One was a potted venus flytrap, they didn't have arms and their eyes were covered. The other was a dorito, they looked just like me, but not? He looked upside-down to me, and he was lighter. The two were talking about something, and as I got closer, I noticed that they were about the same age as me.

"Uh, hi? I'm Dorito, and uh I live down the street. Are you guys new to the neighborhood or something? I haven't seen you around before." I say when I get close enough. The flytrap jumps a little-bit, not expecting someone other than their friend to be talking. The other dorito looks at me, they raised their eyebrow. I could tell that they were thinking what I was just thinking, 'Who is this person, and why do they look so much like me?'

"O-oh! Hi! I'm Venus! And this is also Dorito!" she gestures to the dorito, "We don't live here. We live a couple streets down and just came by to see what was around here!" Venus seemed to be shy, but not at the same time. Like a timid extrovert. She looked at me for a second, then looked at Dorito.

"Are you two related?" She asks.

"I mean, maybe." I say, shrugging, "I'm adopted and I've never met my birth parents soo...."

"Wow, that's weird. I'm adopted too, and I've never met MY birth parents." Dorito replies. I shrug again, cool coincidence I guess.

"Maybe you're twins! I mean, I wouldn't be surprised." Venus comments.

"Yeah... But I can already tell that we're gonna get confused fast. Looking similar and having the same name and stuff." I say, already confusing myself whenever I say the word Dorito in my head.

"Hm yeah... Maybe we need nicknames..." Dorito replies. All three of us sit in silence for a minute or so.

"I've got it!" I exclaim. Venus and Dorito look at me, wanting to hear what i got.

"My band likes to call me MemeyBoi, cause I like memes and stuff. So you can call me Memeyboi. And I can call you Dorito-Bro cause we might be related!" I say, jazzhands. Venus nods.

"Good Idea! So, We'll call you Memeyboi then!" Venus says, smiling.

I don't know why, but her approval of my idea made my heart go 'UwU'
