Things have Definitely changed.... (Part 1)

I'm not yet finished with it but it's been a while so I thought I'd make it multi parted or smthn idk uwu

(Btw the picture has nothing to do with the actual story, it's based off a meme. Also, I made it cause Maple and I dunno what to do with what's gonna be canon so it's either Cinna x Dorito, Venus x Dorito, Venus x Dorito x Cinna, or they're all gonna be friendzoned ;w;)

Venus picked up the phone with her mouth and put it on the floor. She typed the number with her foot then pressed the dial button. She sat down to wait for the ringing to stawp.

"Hiya! My name's Memey! You've called and I haven't answered! Leave a message or something after the beep, or text me! Thanku! BEEEEP" The voice says through the speaker. Venus sighs.

"Hi Memey! I know I've been gone for a while... I'm sorry I couldn't get in contact with you, I missed you so much! I hope you don't mind me coming over later, and I can't wait to see you! Love you...." She pushes the hang up button and puts the phone back onto the stand.

A few hours after Venus' unanswered phone call she walked to Dorito's 'seperated' house. She knocked on the door by kicking it and waited. She heard muffled talking through the door, then footsteps. The door opened, Dorito peering out. When he saw Venus his eyes lit up and he opened the door all the way.

"Venus!! You're not dead!!" He cheers, hugging her with one arm.

"You thought I was dead?" Venus asks, pressing her forehead on him.

"Nono! I just- Well... Kind of... Yes...?" he lets out an awkward laugh, "But I'm so happy you're back!! And okay!! I missed you so much!!" He stopped hugging her and they both looked at each other. Dorito noticed that on Venus there were a couple bruises and bandaids, and most notably that one of her flytraps was missing. Venus parted her leaves to look at Dorito and instantly saw that he had a black eye and his left arm was wrapped with gauze bandages which were stained red.

"What Happened!?" They both asked at the same time. Dorito let out another small laugh.

"You first. You disappeared for such a long time... I have to hear what happened!"

"Okay! It's kind of a long and confusing story though..."

"That's okay!! Here, let's go inside... I'll make hot chocolate." Dorito pushes the door open again. Before Venus even took a single step, Dorito paused then closed the door a little bit again.

"What?" Venus asks him. Dorito looks at her, then at the door, then at her again. He sighs.

"I have someone over right now, who I totally forgot about. Heh-" Venus gives him a questioning look from through her leaves, "Look, a lot of things happened while you were gone. I'll explain later."

"Okay??" Venus says, her confusion clearly audible in her voice. Dorito took a deep breath then opened the door again, letting Venus go through. He came in after and closed the door behind him. He then led her upstairs. He opened the door to his room and Venus walked inside. He followed. Venus looked around his room. Not much had changed except for a drafting table that wasn't there before, and that his room was much cleaner than she ever remembered. Dorito moved to where his closet door was and opened it. He gestured for Venus to follow him, then he went inside of it. Venus followed behind, confused to why they were going in a closet, but when she went inside she realised it wasn't his closet anymore.

The door led to the old room of Yeet, Dorito's older brother. Although the walls were still a pastel yellow, nothing in the room looked the same. There was a TV hung up on the right side of the room that seemed to have an X-box or Ps4 connected to it, A desk in front of the window which was covered with pens and looseleaf paper, a rug was on the floor near the center of the room which was pale blue, and there were two large dark purple bean bags on top of it. One of the beanbags was occupied by someone who seemed to be playing minecraft on the TV.

"Woah..." Venus let out a gasp, not expecting so much difference already.

"My bro is moving out to go to college so after he packed up his room he helped me set it up like this. He's still gotta move a few boxes from downstairs but, he's almost done. He's not here right now because he's at his apartment trying to set up before his first semester starts." Dorito explains. Venus nods and notices that the person in the beanbag realised they were in there.

"Memey? Who're you talking to?" they ask, pausing the game and turning to look at them.

"Oh! Cinna, Venus came back! She's okay!" he says, gesturing towards Venus whilst sitting down on the floor. Cinna looked kind of scared for half a second but just nodded in greeting to Venus. Venus stood awkwardly.

"I'm gonna go make some hot chocolate- When I get back we all have so much to talk about!" He stood back up, "Venus you can sit on the other bean bag if you want. Also you can play minecraft as my character if you know how to play with your feet. I'm so freaking happy you're okay!" He bounds out of the room and closes the door behind him. Venus took a small gulp of air, then sat down in the beanbag next to Cinna. Cinna unpauses their game and starts playing, trying to block out the fact that Venus was there. Venus, who was getting anxious due to the awkwardness, cleared her throat quietly and looked at Cinna through her leaves.

"It's been forever... Hasn't it?" She comments. Cinna pauses the game again and looks at Venus.

"Yeah. Really had Dorito freaking out." Cinna grumbled.

"I'm happy that you and Dorito seem to be good friends now..." Venus lies. Cinna rolled her eyes.

"Sure."

"So, uhm... How have things been while I was gone?"

"...Eh...."

"What does that even mean?" Venus questions.

"Things have definitely changed while you were gone, that's for sure. But... I think you'll notice that soon enough." remarked the cinnamon bun. Venus fell quiet, trying to figure out what Cinna meant by that.
