*SINONS POV*

It was a snowy evening in December.

The fifth official BOB tournament had ended, and lately I've been spending more time with my friend Kazehaya Miyoshi. He has electric blue hair and crystal blue eyes, and to be completely honest he almost looks fake, like a vocaloid or something. I've been hanging out with him recently, since last christmas. I distinctly remember the salty warm tears running down my face as I witnessed the person I loved with somebody who wasn't me. I always told myself to try to hide my feelings, but it never worked in the end.

I was in love with Kirito.

And there was nothing I could do about it.

My Christmas last year was a disaster...

...but I moved on. I started hanging out with Kazehaya, and my life began to change for the better. To be honest I hated him at first. But after my friends FORCED me to hang out with him, I finally gave in and started going on dates with him. And now here we are, Christmas, 2027.

*AT LIZBETHS HOUSE*

As I saw her open the door to her house, a bright smile began to grow on her face. Her eyes were always so bright and cheerful. I look up to Lizbeth, cause she's the person I want to become. A happy, sweet person with not a worry in the world.

"Hi Shino! Glad you could come!", she said smiling so hard it looked like it hurt.

"Hi Liz. Thanks, I'm glad I could too". I replied with a smile.

As I walked into her house, I could already smell her Strawberry scented candles coming from her room. She almost ALWAYS had them lit, and it didn't bother her at all. I didn't mind it either. 

I was always good friends with Lizbeth, we just clicked as buddies, and we'd always hang out and watch movies and eat popcorn, so we decided to do that tonight.

I sat on her pink fluffy bean bag and out of nowhere, she spoke up.

"So Shino, you know about Kirito and Asuna...right?" She looked at me with curiosity.

What? What about them?

"No... they're still dating... right?" I asked.

Lizbeth just let out a short heavy laugh, and shook her head afterward.

"Nope, they totally broke it off a couple of weeks ago."

"What? T-they did?" I stuttered.

I haven't really kept in touch with Kirito for a while, for a long time we always hung out at the coffee shop and talked about how we were doing, he usually asked about how I was doing with trying to get over the things that happened in the past. He really does care about me, and he always wants to know if I'm okay or not. You could say we're really great friends, who can always trust each other. The last time I saw him was at the fall festival, and long story short, we were talking, the fireworks went off over the lake, and he suddenly moved close to my face, just inches away from kissing me. Of course I was shocked, but as soon as I was about to move forward, he moved backward and apologized, then walked away. He hasn't tried to call me or text me since then.

Lizbeth started to talk about how it happened.

"Well, you see, Asuna and Kirito were a cute couple, but I guess sometimes things just start to fade, ya know? They're relationship just started fading little by little, until it was basically nothing but a friendship. Some people just stop having romantic feelings toward one another. And they're only seventeen and eighteen, it wasn't like they were going to get married any time soon."

"Hm, I guess so", I said looking down at the floor.

"Anyway, enough about that!" Lizbeth said as she picked up her phone and started texting people. "I'm still in contact with Kirito, and that little boyfriend of yours," she lowered her phone from her face and grinned at me with that super big smile. I couldn't help but blush.

"S-shut up! We're just friends, okay Lizbeth?" I closed my eyes out of embarassment.

"Ha, I'm glad you're only friends with him, you know how many girls he's dated?" Lizbeth huffed.

"I know! But he's different when he's around me, sometimes..." I looked back up and frowned at her.

"See! He's a player Shino! Anyway, I'm texting him, Kirito, and Silica. They're all gonna come over to my place as well."

"W-WHA?!" I squealed. "That cant happen! I mean, can it?"

"Well too bad, it's happening", she said as she pressed the 'send' button on her phone."

This was gonna be an interesting night.
