AN: First things first... this is a mondler story because mondler is life. And I just wanted you to know, if you have ever seen the show "Life Unexpected" the beginning plot is a bit like that one. Only a little.
Just by the way, I chose the name for one of the main characters in this story because I've always loved the name a lot and I felt the need to use it...
This is my first wattpad story so I hope you like it! Okay now start reading... If you want to of course :DIt was a Friday Morning in middle of March in New York City. Spring was just starting to settle in, but it was still cold enough that if you were a tourist, you'd rather spend your day in New York inside the museum of natural history instead of spending it outside in Central Park all day.
It was the same as always in New York. Nothing was different.
Kids were hanging out in the playground of their school. The little kids on the monkey bars and the slides, while the older ones went into groups and talked, complaining about the cold weather, which wasn't even that cold.
Most adults were either walking to work, or already at work.
Of course there were others too. Like homeless people and random people on the streets trying to sell products. There were teenagers that skipped school and adults walking into one of the thousands of Starbucks they had in new york. There were dog walkers and mailmen, guitar players and hobo's.
If you were able to see all of New York from a distance, but still close enough to see the people, you would see how similar it was to the day before, and the day before that, and the day before that. But if you look really close enough, you can see the small changes.
One of the small changes was happening somewhere in Manhattan.
Lux Geller was apart of that small change.
Jogging to who-knows-where in her dark jeans, forest green winter coat and black backpack, it would be easy to think of her as just a regular New Yorker.
But she wasn't.
She was looking for a building. She knew that she she should have gotten a cab, but she also knew she could walk, or better yet, run, to her destination.
Finally she stopped and pulled something out of her coat pocket. A picture and a piece of paper with something on it.
Before entering the building she quickly examined herself in the reflexion of the window.
Her long dark brown hair that was almost black, but not quite, was curled, not tight curls but long wavy curls. Her deep blue eyes went along well with the very small dash of light, almost unnoticeable freckles on her upper cheeks. You could easily tell that she was her mothers daughter. She looked so much like her.
She took a deep breath and entered the building.
This is it. She thought to herself as she walked up the flights of stairs.
She was nervous, yet excited, but more nervous. She was going to see him. She was finally going to meet him!
But her mom was going to be pissed. After fifteen years, she finally told Lux a little bit about her father. But then a couple weeks later Lux was just left the house in the middle of the night, got a cab, went to the airport and she was gone. She knew what she did was horrible, but she just had to meet her dad and find out what happened between him and her mom.
Lux knew her mom would easily find her. Her mom was probably on a plane to New York right now. Because you had to be a complete idiot if you didn't know that all she wanted most in the entire world... Was to finally meet her father.
Once she reached the third floor she walked down the narrow hallway and stopped at apartment 19. This was it.
She had so many questions. She didn't know where to start.
She looked back down at the photo in her hands. It was a picture of her mom and her Aunt Rachel and her Uncle Ross (even though he was her mothers brother, she only met him 5 years ago). There were three other people with them. One of them was Joey Tribbiani, aka Dr. Drake Ramoray, a character from one of her favourite tv shows, Days Of Our Lives. Then a girl with bright long blonde hair holding a guitar. That left one more person. The person who she assumed was her dad.
They were all sitting on an orange couch in some sort of coffee house. They all looked so young and happy.
"Please like me," she whispered to herself before knocking on the door 4 times.
She waited 5 seconds. Then 10. Then 20. Then 30 until she realized he wasn't coming. She turned away from the door and started walking down the hallway.
She was halfway to the stairs when she heard a male voice from behind.
"May I help you?"
She quickly turned around and saw a man with brown hair and blue eyes that were very similar to hers. She walked up to the doorway where the man stood. She looked back at the photo in her hand. Then up at the man. It was him.
There are so many 'firsts' in your life. Like, learning how to tie your shoes for the first time, or riding your bike for the first time. Or having your first kiss, and your first heartbreak. Everybody has a first at something. And sometimes one of your 'firsts' might be something that not everybody gets to witness. Like approaching a man and telling him that he has a daughter, and that that's you, no... most people don't get to witness that.
"Chandler Bing?" She asked the man.
"Yep. That would be me." He said and smiled a little.
Chandler looked at the girl. She looked a lot like.... no. No that's not possible. He thought. But he couldn't help but notice that she did.
Lux couldn't believe it. Chandler Bing. Her father. It really was her father.
"M-my name is L-Lux Geller." She said almost as if it were a question.
Geller.
Chandler knew that name far too well. His eyes grew wide. So it was true.
"Geller? As in Monica Geller!?" He said a little too enthusiastically.
She smiled. "That's my mom."
Chandler couldn't believe what he was hearing. Monica Geller had a daughter. He should have known that she settled down. Who wouldn't want to marry her? She was the most perfect woman ever.
But... why was her daughter here? Why wasn't she with Monica or at school and why out of all the people was she talking to me? Chandler thought.
"Wow. I mean... Wow." Chandler said. He paused. "Uhh.... Why are you here?" He finally said, trying not to be rude.
Lux took another deep breath for the thousandth time that day.
"Well... You see, I live with my mom and I've never met my dad. And I've always reaaally wanted to meet him. B-but my mom never told me about him. Then last week my.... my mom told me a bit about him and I found out he li- lives here in New York." She stuttered looking down at her black converse shoes.
Chandler didn't understand what she was getting at. Why is she here..?
"So.. I'm looking for my father." She said and finally looked up at him. Her eyes were watery like she was about to cry.
Her next words she chose carefully. "And I think that's you."
