"A new school year," Hailey wined. "Tomorrow's the first day of freshman year and I still haven't gotten a boyfriend!" Hailey screamed. "You'll find love one day, it takes time," Kana explained while texting. "Uh huh, you say that while you had like 5 boyfriends already, and since 4th grade!" Hailey shouted. "Hey, that's me we're talking about here," Kana said as she puts down her phone. "I'm very attractive and super nice so I was constantly being asked out. I simply felt bad to reject the poor ones so I went out with them." "Uh huh, sure," Hailey said sarcastically.
Hailey Wittman is going to be a freshman in high school soon and she has always wanted to find the boy she played with when she was little. Hailey and that boy made a promise that they're going to get married one day and live happily ever after but, one day, Hailey's dad passed away and she had to move away with her mom, away from the sadness. She had forgotten the boy over the years but when middle school started, her friends started dating and this had caused Hailey to start having a dream about the boy she played with during childhood. "Hey Hailey, didn't you say before you made a promise to this boy you liked when you were little?" Kana asked. "Well yea... but I'm not even sure if he still remembers me, or that promise," Hailey quietly said. "True, I wouldn't keep that kind of promise either. Plus, it's from when we were young, who knew if it was a joke or something?" "Yea..." Hailey quietly uttered.
