The crowd gasped and everyone, including Eikko and Caym, whirled around to see Lilith stand up from her seat, her black dress flowing right to the ground. Her face was nicely framed by thick black curls, framing her emotionless eyes and steely stare that bore right into the groom. He began to shift uncomfortably.
"Mother?" Eikko asked in, her hanging open in shock.
Lilith narrowed her eyes at Caym, who's face only showed rage. "I refuse to allow you to marry my daughter until you explain to me the reason that you poisoned my son's husband." Her voice boomed through the silent room.
Nothing happened and the seconds passed. Until a whisper passed through the room:
"What?" Moloch's face had turned pitch black, his eyes reflected pools of lava. All was still until Caym met his glare.
Caym took off, leaving his bride at the alter with a gaggle of angry demons snapping at his heels. Lilith grasped Archer's arm.
"Come on, quick!"
The pair dashed through the thick trees and bushes of the nearby forest, scrambling after the frenzied sounds of fighting and yelling.
As they burst into a clearing they spot Caym, surrounded by the angry pack. Lilith marched forward, pushing her way into the circle to snarl at him.
Archer watched; the world began to spin in slow motion as Caym leaped towards towards Lilith, large animalistic claws protruding from his hands.
Archer bolted forward, his thoughts only on protecting his mother-in-law. A sharp pain shot down his side. Looking down he saw the claws embedded into his skin which was slowly becoming stained red with his own blood.
A roar ripped from Moloch's throat as his body contorted into a monstrous creature, he was no longer Moloch; this was the true prince of hell. The same sound came from his side as the last thing Archer saw was Lilith and Moloch pouncing on the attacker.
