I know we all crave a "forever" with the one we currently love. We weep and cry when it's over, berate ourselves for ever being in that relationship or desperately cling on to its memories in the hope that it will return. We grudge people for leaving or making situations so bad that we have to leave.
What we need to understand is that we attract every single relationship into our lives to fill a vacuum we have within us and in our lives. Every relationship comes at a necessary moment either to heal,to fill a void,or to teach us important lessons and terminates when its purpose is served. When you compare your collapsed relationship with couples who are married for decades, just know that they were willing to make adjustments and sacrifices because doing so kept their emotional, physical,or finacial voids filled.
You were not willing to make such sacrifices because you have different take on life, expect more and are not willing to compromise your personal ideals or goals or values. Soak in the benefits of every relationship and in its throes of death remind yourself that it's strengthening your resolve about how you truly want someone else,be it a different kind of person, different kind of relationship or a life path. Don't grudge people for experiences which teach you about what you want and don't want.
This is how I feel everynight, how I used to love you even though I know that your existence is just temporary. I hate myself for letting you enter in my life. I miss those nights when we talk until dawn and never notice the time. I hope you know that I'm still thinking of you and those moments we shared together.
Memories of ours are still vivid and it's slowly killing me inside. You're now forgetting everything but I'm still trapped inside the circle of our memories. If we meet again in the future, don't worry you're still welcome on me. Until we meet again.
