Arthit rolled his eyes once again as he tried to slow his gait to match his girlfriend's. Cursing himself for the 100th time for agreeing to go along with her obviously diabolical plan. When will he ever learn a quick trip to the mall is an all-day adventure. Worst still her friends are going to descend on them soon, and for some reason Dee plus her friends basically meant empty pockets for Arthit. For heaven's sake did they not have their own boyfriends to bankrupt. For some reason these just 'hang out' trips with her posse were getting a little too frequent. Ideally he wouldn't be grumbling so much but he had been saving up for his parent's anniversary gift, and although his allowance was by no means small, Dee definitely knew how to make a dent in it every month.
Thankfully, today their demands were atleast manageable. In fact to be honest even he was looking forward to trying the new ice cream shop that had opened around the corner. Apparently in the very first few months of its opening it had burst into popularity, so when Dee suggested meeting her friends there he wasn't completely opposed to the idea. Still his suspicion levels had hit the roof, cause since when do her 'forever on a diet' friends hang out at dessert places?
He didn't need to guess for long though, cause not two seconds after him and the horde of ten girls stumbled into the hole in the wall ice cream store did he hear all the girls begin gushing about the cute guy behind the counter.
Arthit wondered momentarily if his eyes could actually get stuck in some odd position with the amount of rolling around they were doing. Just bloody great! Now he was stuck paying for them to check out their boy toy. You bet Arthit was going to buy a monstrosity of ice cream for himself, and absolutely no sharing, to get through another ordeal of an evening. Times likes these got Arthit wondering why he was dating Dee at all. Did they really even like each other anymore?
That was probably a much deeper conversation he needed to have with himself, and definitely not sitting here surrounded by ten giggly girls. So at least for today he let it go and patiently waited for the gang to finish ordering before walking up to the counter himself to settle the bill, but not before ordering the largest triple scoop sundae that existed. Yummm!
Arthit even had the broadest smile on his face at the very idea of the deliciousness as he raised his eyes from the menu in his hand when his heart completely stopped.
Standing right in front was....was him.
The utter shock of seeing him after over two years of their...ummm...night together wasn't something Arthit knew exactly what to do with. His mouth hanging open in utter shock, perfectly mirroring the expressions on the boy's face standing across from him. And if his pulse wasn't drumming wildly in his ears currently he may have even had enough brain cells lefts to agree with the girls that the guy behind the counter was definitely cute. A lot more than cute. And he hadn't even completely taken in the ridiculously pink apron around his waist or the chef's hat on his head.
Arthit couldn't help but simply gape at him. The shy young man from two years ago, the first person he had ever slept with, hell the only man he had ever slept with, suddenly appearing in front of him out of absolutely nowhere. And while Arthit's mouth was still hanging open a very clear blush spread across the boy's face. His complexion almost perfectly matching his apron, as his teeth peeked out to bite his lower lip shyly. Absolutely no points in guessing as to what was going through his head. Well ofcourse Arthit would know, flashes of that night was almost all that filled his mind right now.
He had no idea for how long they simply stared into each other's eyes. Neither of them capable of breaking the silence, what could they even say? But just as Arthit saw him part his lips in an attempt to break their stunned silence, along came the very large thorn of the situation. The infamous Dee.
