When Max said his powers were gone I was so confused. He was blaming me and I didn't know what I did, one second I was thinking my powers were about to be stripped from me, and that I with his powers didn't affect me, and the next second he was screaming what people call screaming anarchy.

"Max, I didn't do anything, I just wanted your powers not to affect me."

"But why are they not affecting you?!"

"I don't know, I was just thinking that I can control if my powers affect people, and wished you could do the same."

He stood up from his crying position in the ground and came over to me. What he did next shocked me, he hugged me, and wiped the tears I hadn't realized had fallen, and whispered in my ear, "It's okay, I believe you."

We stayed like that for a while, and broke apart when we heard someone clear their throat. Looking up, I saw Hugh with a look of bewilderment in his face, he didn't know I was Nightmare.

"Max, please leave and send Adrian in, I think Ms. McClain and I have some talking to do."

Max looked at me and sent me an encouraging nod as he walked out, once he was out Adrian walked in, and sat down outside my cell.

"Now Ms. McClain," as he said that I flinched, I never liked lying, "you aren't going to do what you did earlier are you?"

While it took me a minute to realize what he meant, I realized he meant me putting him to sleep from across the room, nodding my head no, I focused back to what was going on and waited for him to continue.

"Well that it good, so tell me why you did this Ms. McClain?"

Looking over at Adrian I didn't want to answer, he knew I was confused by what happened, and I turned around.

"Actually Dad, her last name isn't McClain."

"Well, then Adrian since you clearly know what it is, and have been keeping secrets from us, spit it out!" Hugh said his voice getting louder.

Adrian hesitated but eventually just said, "Artino," just above a whisper, "her last name is Artino."

"What was that Adrian?"

Turning around and looking Hugh straight in the eyes, I said, "My name is Artino, Nova Artino."

"Following in your father's footsteps then," Hugh said with a hint of disgust in his voice. Why, the disgust I don't know, what did my dad ever do to him, it was him who ruined us. Oh.

"My father is not Alec Artino, or Ace Anarchy, he is my uncle, and it is not my fault you got my father killed, and started this all."

"Sorry for the miscommunication in my part, but would you please expand in how this is my fault though!"

"You promised my father you would protect us and that night my whole family was killed!"

"You are lying, that never happened." Hugh said.

"It's true Dad, I read the file."

"File, Adrian, what file."

Adrian looked down and said he would go get it and left. Hugh and I sat in silence till he got back and gave his dad the file. Once Adrian handed him the file his eyes showed worry like he knew what it was. Looking up, Hugh's eyes filled with regret looking at me. "I didn't realize, what, uh, why did he need protection again?"

"He used his ability to make weapons for gangs, you told him to stop and in turn he would be protected from those gangs," I said curling into a ball as much as I could. I didn't want them to see me cry, I didn't want them to know how much it effects me a decade later, but despite my efforts, they still saw.

"Ah, yes, that it right," Hugh responded, seeming to remember, I was hurt he didn't, be it is no use now. "What did his power do exactly, if you know that is."

"Of course I know my father's own power, his power was to create metals from the air, and his creation could enhance powers, he created his brother's helmet too," looking up, I saw so many emotions run through Hugh's eyes like he knew something I didn't, then looking over at Adrian, holding my arm with my father's bracelet in front of me where they could both see it, I said quietly, but they both still heard me, "but, his powers could create beauty as well, now that he is gone, the only thing I have left of him is this."

"That is why it was a big deal when Magpie stole it, huh," Adrian wondered out loud.

"Yes, thank you for fixing it by the way."

"But if that broke so easily, why didn't the helmet brake on my spear," Hugh said.

"All the power was drained out of this, or my father didn't intend for it to have power in it, it never had that hum of energy his other creations had. That was how I could tell the one in your office was a fake."

"But, no one but you feels this hum of energy."

Looking over at Hugh as he said that, thing started to make a little more sense. Me being the only one in my family who could just tell when my father was working all night based off the air, the bracelet, the helmet, everything.

"Nova, I still don't trust you," Hugh said, "but I do have information you might want, and after telling you this, I hope you can help us."

I looked at him expectantly, I was already with them in my heart, I just needed something to convince my brain.

"Nova, your father only sold weapons to one gang, and it wasn't the Roaches."

I looked down and started to cry, he said he killed the gang, my uncle told me everything, he knew everything, he lied to me, they weren't dead, how could he. "How could he, how could he," I said over and over again, rocking back in forth, I barely even realize, when someone came over and unlocked my handcuffs, but I did, and I felt the familiar aura of Adrian, "Thank you Adrian," I said looking up at him, "and tell Max he is not out of the clear yet." Adrian looked confused but nodded anyway and walked off, leaving me alone, they better not run test, if they do, the whole Anarchist building is going down, I just hope they realize that before anything to bad happens.
