"What the hell man, did you see that girl!?"
It's hard to believe that such a small girl was able to do the things she did. That guy was at least twice her size and she took him down with ease. She wasn't even scared either I heard her joking around about it with Keenan. Sure, there were other girls that were fearless, but not like her. She was different.
"I didn't even know Keenan had a sister. Did you?", Larkin asked.
"I don't think any of us would have. I've never heard him talk about a sister .", Jason answered.
"Besides wouldn't she be living with him and the other Protectors?", I asked.
"You guys! It's not that big of a deal. So, what? She can fight. If she is his sister than of course he would teach her how to fight. He is a Protector you know.", Sawyer grumbled.
That was true. If I had a sister I would make sure she would be able to protect herself when I wasn't around. Rogues weren't the only danger. She was right guys these days were touchy. I wouldn't want my sister to get hurt because she didn't know how to defend herself. But, did Keenan really have a sister this whole time that we didn't know about?
He had been our friend since we were old enough to begin training. You'd think that would be plenty of time to know a person , but obviously not. I'm not going to deny that it hurt that he didn't trust us enough to tell us about her. Were we really that bad that he didn't want his sister being around us? Sure, we did mess around from time to time, but a friends sister was always off limits. Everyone knows that. We would have respected her.
"We're almost there. "
I sighed.
Another day of an exhausting training session. I didn't mind too much, but we already had to walk there because our car was in the shop. The bad part was that we couldn't even shift to get there. Our instructors didn't want us relying on our wolf for everything. I wish they'd make an exception though. The Protectors pack houses were on the very edges of the territory away from all the civilian pack houses.
"Cole! Front in center!"
Shit, what'd I not do this time?
"Sir?"
"I heard that you guys participated in a fight today."
"Yes sir."
He looked like he was ready to spit out flames," You know the rules. You guys are Protectors not fighters. You guys are stronger. It's not fair for you to use that against them. You're supposed to protect them not hurt them."
"Yes sir, but we weren't fighting. "
"Then what were you doing?", he stepped closer.
I wanted to step back, but I knew it would be a sign of weakness," We were trying to break it up. Kennan's sister needed help."
"Keenan's sister? Keenan doesn't have a sister. You'd better get your story straight boy. "
I could hear shuffles behind me,"Than who is Amelia?"
"Amelia.", he rubbed his chin suddenly looking worried.
"You guys can skip training today I need to make a call. "
"Yes sir.", We responded
Why would the mention of Amelia make him so worried ? Plus, when he had to 'make a call' it was usually to the Alphas. If Keenan didn't have a sister than who was she? He did say she was his sister. Why did she have to get us involved in this confusing mess? And why did it require the Alphas' attention?
