taehyung was waiting outside the cafe

taehyung was waiting outside the cafe. he reckoned that it was about nine-thirty, and regretted not arranging a proper meeting time. alas, he didn't have the ravenhaired male's number.

he clicked his tongue in annoyance, irritated and losing patience. he was just pulling out his earphones (yes, the ones with wires, not everybody is rich.) when he felt a tap on his shoulder.

the young male turned around, and was greeted with a grinning jeongguk. he put the headphones back in his pocket and glared at jeongguk.

"naw~ why the deathstare cutie? you look like an angry tigercub." jeongguk cooed with a small smirk.

taehyung huffed.

"i've been waiting here for twenty minutes!! it's cold!! i have every right to stare you down, jeongguk." he muttered, not bothering to use honorifics just to piss the elder off.

"yah! that's hyung to you, brat." the elder male retorted, before chuckling softly and opening the coffee shop door. "ladies first~"

taehyung playfully pushed jeongguk in front of him. "yeah, and assholes just before."

jeongguk reluctantly decided to be the 'mature' person, and entered the cafe first. taehyung, grinning like a smug idiot behind him, pointed at a booth next to the window in the corner. the dark-haired male nodded and walked over, waving to the server on the way.

the pair settled down and pulled their bags off of their shoulder. whilst jeongguk conversed casually with the waitress, taehyung took the time to study his surroundings. the walls were a faded pink, with hints of blues flowing in and out at parts, fairy-light style white bulbs hung from the ceiling. the counter was a strong marble white, and the shop was warm. a smell of cinnamon wafted through the air. the brunette wondered whether it was a candle, or a pastry being baked. the booths were similarly schemed - pastel material and marble-patterned tabletops. he made a mental note to come back here, if not for the coffee, for the serenity of the place.

he gradually eased back into the conversation, hearing jeongguk's voice.

"is seokjin-hyung in today?" he had asked. in response, the waitress had shook her head.

"last i heard is that he was out with his boyfriend last night and called in sick this morning. back pains or something - i hope he's alright." she responded, a hint of concern in his voice.

taehyung almost choked on his own saliva, though managing to disguise it as a small sneeze. jeongguk raised his eyebrows at the waitresses words, but nodded in a knowledge that anyway.

"anyway.. may i please take your order?" the girl asked. the two males nodded. taehyung asked for a banana milkshake and blueberry muffin, whilst jeongguk had a cappuccino and cinnamon swirl.

after the waitress left, jeongguk turned to face taehyung.

"so, tiger taehyung, tell me something interesting about yourself."

the food arrived whilst the brunette was contemplating what to say.

"i'm not alone in my body." he replied nonchalantly, not making eye contact with jeongguk and sipping his drink as if it was the most normal thing to say.

"come again?" jeongguk asked, half disbelieving, half confused.

"i have a parasite." taehyung explained.

'PARASITE?? WE AGREED TO DROP THIS TITLE. I. AM. VENOM.'

jeongguk nodded. "right.."

taehyung took a bite of his muffin. "you can either believe me or not, it's up to you. he's called venom." he said calmly.

'want to say hi.'

the brunette clicked his tongue again.

"he wants to say hi." tae spoke. jeongguk furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, wondering what kind of insane person he'd met, but nodded slowly anyway.

go for it bud, but be discrete.

venom extended out through taehyung's arm and formed his head. "hi." he greeted in his growling voice. jeongguk dropped his fork on the plate in shock.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT."
