"You're a liar! You told me they were okay!"

"Kid—!"

"No! Shut up! You just... Shut up! Shut up, you liar!"

The little girl beat her hands against the policemen's gut, her tiny fists doing absolutely nothing to him. She was too weak to cause any pain. The man muttered out a curse under his breath before kneeling down and trying calm down this small girl filled with anger. Liar.

Liar.

She just kept screaming, even though it hurt her throat, even though she found her scratchy voice so ugly she kept going. Kept yelling on and on about how he had deceived her until he took her by shoulders and shook her.

"Kid, listen to me!"

His own loud voice made her tremble. The man paused for a moment. This wasn't his expertise, he didn't know how to gently break a child's heart. He had never needed to.

"... They're gone. And I'm sorry."

Her breathing quickened, she was hyperventilating again and she didn't know why. She already knew what this man would say. To an extent she knew that he was lying when had initially said that her parents were okay. The brunette girl furrowed her eyebrows at him before all that anger she had broke into sorrow. The man lets her fall to her knees, her body heaving with broken sobs. She clutched one of her hands onto her sweater, the one her mother made for her.

"Liar..! You're a liar... You're a... I..."

She could feel him rub her back and her body shuddered in his touch, but she didn't push him away. Her throat felt so raw from screaming. He just whispered another apology. He didn't know how to make it better, she didn't know how he even could.

"It's not fair..."

* Why did I climb the mountain..?

Frisk takes a pause, her mouth moving into a frown as she clasped her hands together.

* I... She... We didn't do it for the most... Noblest of reasons. People go in and don't come out... I'm not going to lie to you and say it was for the Underground. It wasn't.

* If I could change some things as to why I did, maybe I would, but...

* I don't think I regret anything. Not really.

And her frown softens as she said this, if only for but a moment because she means it. The girl then smugly grins.

* Say... You're pretty nosy, huh? Well, I don't mind! ... If you really want, I'll tell you everything.
