Kali 'Blades' Kealoha took a deep breath as he adjusted the scope of one of his favorite rifles, a 12.7 mm .50-caliber light Fifty Model 82A1 Sniper Rifle. His target had absolutely no idea that he was enjoying his last moments on Earth. Next to him, his younger brother Nico 'Reaper' Kealoha was closely monitoring the wind conditions, lining him up for the perfect shot. Sniping was more Nico's thing, but his usual scout fell ill that morning. Kali needed the best and his brother was the best.
"Target in sight. Adjust 2 degrees north."
Nico's voice was clear and steady in the earpiece in Kali's ear. He watched as his target approached in an armored vehicle.
"870 yards and closing. Fire when ready."
