Sweet Desires Chapter 22

"Its so nice for you girls to come out today!"

You smile at Keiko setting down your cup of ice tea. It was a warm day and Keiko called the girls to meet at a café. You haven't seen them for a long time and its nice to hang out with your girls! Shizuru, who you know to be Kuwabaras sister, elbowed Yukina. "So. How have you been doing? My idiot brother hasn't been shutting up about you." Yukina pale face blushes lightly as you tilted your head at a sudden feeling. 'I feel as though this shouldn't be a discussion at all.. Like.. It'll make someone angry. I wonder why.. and who?'- "Oh leave her be!" Botan laughed and waved her hand. Keiko sat down next to you as Shizuru winks at you. "You're right. I actually want to hear about the ring on your finger, (Y/n)." You choked on your tea as all eyes were on you. "W-wait before you get any ideas, Koenma and Kurama made this for me." Shizuru sulked. "Aww, whaat? Damn.." Botan suddenly slammed her hands on the table. "Don't tell me.. IT'S A THREE WAY LOVE AFFAIR!?"
"NOO BOTAN! What is wrong with you!??"
You shouted, face flushed as Keiko and Yukina giggled. "Oppsie! I watch too many dramas, you see." You stare at the young reaper chuckling in disbelief. Keiko put a cheek to her hand in thought. "But you know, its something to think about. Yusuke keeps bringing up marriage to me.." Your jaw dropped before patting Keikos back in excitement. "Is there a wedding!? Am I invited and can I eat cake!?" Shizuru rolled her eyes at you. "That's the first thing you're gonna do, is it?" Keiko laughed at you nodding vigorously. "Of course you're invited! Well.. I've been thinking of it. We just haven't sat down and talk about it.." As all of you 'ah'd' in response, Keiko suddenly sits up. "So, (Y/n) How is the training?" You groan and sat back in your chair. "Its not a lot of physical strength, but more so mental and emotional power. Even that can be difficult.. And this 'being' or whoever this is, has answers but wont give it to me!" Yukina patted your hand, seeing your distress. "It will come in time. You must be patient!" Its true, but its been so frustrating. You're not moving anywhere at this point. Keiko continues to look at you before speaking. "So, how have you and Kurama been?" You played with your hands shyly as his image comes to mind. "Its been well." She looks up in thought. "You know, remember I said Kurama isn't someone that talks to woman much. I've been thinking; Maybe its because of your personality? Or fate that brought you together?" Botan squeals at the statement. "Yes! Oh my gosh it is like in the movies!" You shook your head as Shizuru takes a sip of her drink.

"Both of you are weird.."

You all hung out until it was late evening. You walk with Yukina back to the Genkai since she is  staying there while she is visiting in the human world. "So how is the search for your brother been?" Yukina sighs before looking at the sky. "No such luck. But I know he's here somewhere.." You look down, mind wandering. Your father disappeared and everyone, including yourself, thinks that he is dead. But.. now you're not so sure. What if he is still alive? If he was, you'd have so many questions to ask him. "I.. Know how you feel. My father is missing and no one has found any trace of him." Yukina grabbed your hand, a look of hope in her eyes. "Don't worry! I'm sure we both will find what we are looking for!" You smiled at her softly as you continued on, hand in hers. "Maybe we can find them together.."

Reaching your destination, you waved to Yukina and headed to the forest to clear your head. Things are just not adding up to you.

"You seem to be more irritating the more I run into you.."

You jumped and looked up at the deep voice in the trees. "Hiei?!" He jumped down, landing in front of you. "With you here, that means you haven't finished your training. Typical of humans wasting time.." You cross you arms, eye twitching in irritation. "And typical for imps like you to hang around in trees. Don't you have anything better to do?" You see him move his cloak, his sword evident in the light of the rising moon. "I will warn you one more time. Watch your mouth before I cut it off." You sulked and shrug your shoulders. "Oh whatever. I don't have time to deal with your attitude!" You began to walk back to the building.
"Hey.."
His voice causes you to stop and look at him. Your eyebrow raised at his sudden silence. "That girl.. What did she say to you?" Your eyes widen at the question and at his behavior. 'Is this really Hiei?' "Nothing much.. She is looking for her brother." His expression changed only briefly but you can see something in his eyes that caused you to realize. 'No way.. Is he her-!!'
You let out a gasp as your back was slammed into the tree. Both arms were pinned above your head as Hiei leans in. "Listen and listen close, woman.. You know the truth. And if you tell her, I won't hesitate to kill you. Regardless of how the fox will retaliate. Understand?" You shake under his red eyes glaring into yours as his Jaegan Eye glows through the bandana. "Got it.. My lips are sealed!" Your voice shakes as you winced at his grip tightening. You see him look at you up and down, his body leaning closer. So close that if you spoke, you lips would touch. Suddenly he releases you. causing you to drop on the ground and before walking away into the darkness of the forest. 

'What was that all about...?!'
