The parents of Zoe Cox were strict, to say the least. Always telling Zoe what she could and couldn't do when they were away or if she was just at home she was always in her room. Not wanting to get near her father or her mother because her father was always mean to her and her mother always defended the father when he did something horrible to her.
Since the mother and father were going away for a month they had to call a babysitter and hire one to watch Zoe. They left a long list of rules by the kitchen counter, on the refrigerator with a magnet on the top right. Zoe rolled her eyes slightly whenever she seen the long list of rules, but if the babysitter decided to follow them then she'd just stay in her room and avoid her babysitter like she avoided her mother and father.
Zoe is a 17-year-old girl and she was wishing at the moment that she was 18 so that she could leave and never come back.
When she heard the knock on the door, and then the key rumble through the lock, she knew that her babysitter was here. Knowing he had a key she didn't get up from the dining room table to let him in, too busy on her phone, listening to music. Not really caring if he found her tolerable or not.
