"Mira, I'm going to be on this S-class mission for the next week, but I leave tomorrow morning. I was wondering if You wanted to hang out later?" Natsu said as he sat on the bar stool next to her.
"Sure, me and my siblings are going on a missions tomorrow to. Gramps said I would need back up and all the other high class mages are out on missions already." Mira replied as she finished eating her lunch.
"Cool, I'll pick you up around 7:30 for dinner and a play." I said heading out of the guild. Jealous and angry glares follow me out the guild. I sighed as the guild doors close. I hope they will eventually let their pointless grudge go. I mean its been years since I joined the guild, you'd think they would just drop it and see me and not my power. I'm just lucky that Gray wasn't at the guild.
Any who time to go prepare my mission before I have to go pick up Mira for our date later. Ash and Blue where sitting on the floor as a 2 year old blue cat named Happy tried to get them to play with him. "Happy, I'm going on a date with Mira at 7, do I need to drop you off with Cana or are you gonna stay with Ash and Blue?" I asked him.
" I think I'll stay here since we have a mission tomorrow morning, well that and Cana never gives me any fish." Happy said with a grin.
"I'm starting to think your fish obsession might be bad for your social health." I said with an exasperated sigh. "I'm gonna go pack and train a bit you guys joining me?" I asked them.
"YES" They responded as one.
"Then lets get to it."

That next morning as Natsu set out for his mission he felt a sense of dread fill his body. He felt as if something was going to go terribly wrong, but he didn't know what. But he had a mission to complete, he wasn't going to fail it just because he felt worried about something he couldn't even place. "Happy go and scout ahead, Tell Blue or Ash if anything happens and we'll be their to help." Happy nodded and flew off into the distance.
Time to see what Nightmare Flame can really do.

Returning to the guild is something Natsu deeply dreaded, but would bear if it meant seeing his loved ones. He really wasn't looking forward to the glares that normally followed him. But as he reached the guild something was definitely off. There was no shouting or crashing coming from the normally rambunctious guild. He cautiously opened the guild doors to a solemn atmosphere. What happened while He was away?
Lisanna was at the bar tending to people, not that it wasn't uncommon but she looked like she had been crying frequently with red puffy eyes and a slight tremble to her lips every now and then. Not to mention he didn't feel glares, but pity filled looks. Lisanna looked up when she heard the guild doors open and she straight up burst into tears while running towards him. She hugged him and couldn't stop crying.
"Hey it's okay. what's wrong?" Natsu said, voice filled with worry.
"She's gone. Mi..*Sob*.. Mira's gone. The m-mission went wrong *sob* and she died
*sob* s-s-saving me." Lissana was lost into sobs and tears.
Natsu's heart cracked and he looked completely broken to those that new him well enough. He mindlessly stroked Lissana's back in shock. He barley even noticed Laxus coming down from the second floor to guide them up of the middle of the guild floor and up to the S-class floor. Lissana eventually fell asleep wrapped in her adopted brother's arms. Natsu finally broke out of his shock as Laxus gently patted his shoulder.
"Is... is it true?" Natsu asked hesitantly. The only answer he got was a solemn nod. While Laxus may have been a bit jealous of Mira, he still thought of her as a sister and rival for Natsu's love.
Natsu let a few tears fall as he realized what had happened. He had lost another of his loved ones. Another death on his shoulders and in his mind. The worst part was that he didn't even tell her that he loved her, after two years of dating and even some intense make-out sessions he never told her. That's the only thing he regretted about their relationship. The rest was all he could ever hope for.
Laxus gently rubbed Natsu's shoulders, trying to comfort his long time friend and crush. "It's going to be okay." He murmered into Natsu's ear. Natsu hesitantly nodded and went to give Elfman his sister.
"Thankyou for comforting her." Elfman barley let out a whisper. Natsu nodded and headed out of the guild with Laxus trailing behind him.
"Laxus, do you think she had any last wishes that she wanted to complete?" Natsu asked as they walked along the road to Natsu's house.
"She always wanted to be the strongest, so she could protect her siblings and nakama no matter what happened. She would want us to be strong for her and live our lives to the fullest. Not mope and let our skills go to waste instead of helping and protecting others." Laxus said softly voice not as full of confidence as normal.
"Do you think she would understand if I were to one day find someone else to be my lover?" Natsu asked sadly.
"Like I said before, she would have wanted you to live your life to the fullest. That includes your love life." Laxus said while looking away a bit.
"Okay." After that was said the rest of the walk was in silence. They reached the house far to quickly for Natsu's taste. He didn't want to tell them, but he knew he would have to. It would hurt them more if I kept it a secret. Opening the door slowly he was greeted to the sight of Blue curled around happy and Ash laying beside them. At least he could wait till the morning.
"Are you going to be staying here tonight, or are you heading home now?" Natsu asked as he tried to get the thoughts out of his head.
"I think I will stay here for the night, you might need a bit of help telling them. They aren't going to take it very well, and we don't need your house destroyed by magical beings." Laxus said in a slightly joking tone.
"Yeah." Natsu said before staring of for a bit, before snapping out of it. "You know where the guest room is, and if your uncomfortable you can on the couch with Ash, Blue, and Happy. Sorry that the couch is still more comfortable than the bed, I never got around to replacing the mattress." Natsu said as he started to leave the room. "Good night Laxus." Natsu said before he finally disappeared up the stairs.
"Good night Natsu." Laxus whispered in the now empty room.

OMG. I finaly updated this story. Sorry it's taking a while to get updates up. My heart hurts. I dislike doing this to my poor child, But it had to be done. Any who, sorry if it's a little funky. I was really tired when I wrote this.
