I was sitting in my room, curled up with a book, when Rainfall, my little sister, barged in. "OOh what are you reading can I read it hey you look mad why are you mad oh you're mad at me I'm sorry someone got mad at me today and she yelled at me she isn't very nice how was your day Waterfall?" She could sometimes throw people off guard, but I was used to her.

"It was pretty good. I beat a RegalBlood in combat class. The look on her face..." Rainfall looked at me cautiously. "Waterfall...what did she look like?" she said, quietly, for once. "Well..." I squinted, trying to remember. "She had...gold horns and teal scales." I informed her.

"Oh my moons, Oh my moons, Oh my moons!" Rainfall shouted. "DO YOU KNOW WHO THAT WAS!?" "Ummm...No. Should I?" "Of course you should! She is the daughter of the queen's niece! HOW DO YOU EVEN NOT KNOW WHO THAT IS? She's been telling everybody in the school about the Waterblood who nearly killed her! I'm going to go tell Mom," she turned and ran out the door. I slowly put down my book.

Even though, in theory, all bloods were equal, it was a basic fact that most of the time, RegalBloods got the best jobs, best service, best everything. Of course, that wasn't always the case. Sometimes WaterBloods or Earthbloods got good jobs, but not often. Although our Queen, Superior, was technically descended from all of the tribes, she was mostly RegalBlood. Her great-grandmother was Queen Ruby, and her grandmother was Queen Paradise, a rainwing queen who married Queen Ruby's son-joining the two tribes when she became Queen. Queen Superior's father was a nightwing, too.

From downstairs I heard a large crash, so I immediately jumped up, ran downstairs, and saw my Mother lying on the floor.
