Chapter 4

   During the summer The Weasley's went to Egypt. Maria didn't want to go so Snape took her in. He gave her books and she read a whole lot in the summer along with visit him is his lab. Molly went to Snape's house to pick her up. When Snape heard the knock at the door he opened it. " Hello dear did you have a good time." Molly asked. " Oh yes Aunt Molly, Professor Snape has a whole library all over his house." Maria said. " Thank you for taking her." Molly said. " It was a pleasure having her here." Snape said. Maria turned around and gave him a hug. " See you at school Professor." Maria said.

Molly and Maria appriated back to the Three Broomsticks. She heard Harry and Ron talking about it along with Hermione. " Did you enjoy your summer Maria." Hermione said. " Yes actually I got to spend it with Professor Snape he was a gentlemen and has a library all over his house." Maria said. Molly and Arthur took the kids back to the burrow. After the next couple of weeks school started. Maria was excited to see what this year brought.

They get to the school and Dumbledore started his normal speech of the year. They announced the new Care of Magical creatures and the new Dark arts teacher. Maria sat with Ginny and Hermione. Soon it was off to bed. Maria was asleep till she had another dream. This time it went further. She saw her dad killed then they went upstairs and killed her mom. The dream ended in the same thud and then opening of the floor boards then she woke up. Sweating she ran to the bathroom and stripped her clothes off and jumped in the shower. Her skin was red. The cold water and the steam helped her with her body. She got out and then dried off. She went to back to bed.

Maria was getting more stronger with the power. Maria had another nightmare. Her skin glowed red. She ran to the shower and turned on the water. Steam filled the shower. The other girls thought it was a fire in the bathroom and alerted everyone. The hallway filled with Gryffindors. McGongall, Dumbledore and Snape went up to the door room. They heard the shower running in one. They went into the dorm room and saw what looked like smoke was actually steam. They heard crying. Maria was trying to put her skin out. They open the door and the shower saw a sobbing Maria with red skin and steam coming from her body. She was crying. " I don't get it I was able to put it out before." Maria said sobbing. Snape wrapped a fire resistant cloth around her. " I will see if I can find the cause of this Snape said. " Come dear we are going to go to the lab and see what I can help you with." Snape said.

They got back down to the classroom. " Maria, I need you to be truthful with me on this. What is going on to make you do this." Snape said. " I keep having the same dream about my mother and it causes me to be this way. I usually take a shower and it is fine but, this time it didn't stop." Maria said. Snape looked at her. " We will have to subside them to where you will need them. Here drink this." Snape said as he gave her the potion. " What is it." Maria said. " It is going to suppress it for a while especially in dreams." Snape said. Maria dranked the potion. Her skin changed back to her normal color. " Come now we will get you back and I will see you after class today." Snape said.

Maria returned back to her room and went back to bed. She woke the next morning and went to her normal classes after school she went down to the dungeons. She knocked on his classroom and open the door. He sat her down on the chair. He did legilmens on her. He saw what he suspected she saw the death of her parents. The question was it was thru someones eyes perhaps the killer. Her body started to glow. He stopped and then looked at her. " I believe someone is showing you these images thru their eyes but, the question would be who. " Snape said. She shrug didn't know.  Snape felt a sharp pain in his arm. " Are you alright sir." Maria asked. He grabbed his arm and dismissed her. He disappeared.

Snape went to the abandon manor there the Lord Voldemort started to speak to Snape about Maria. " We must do something with the girl her powers are getting stronger. Miko maybe you could kill her." Voldemort said. " You mean kill her like I did her parents of course my lord." Miko said. " Good Severus is there anyway to extinguish her powers maybe make her on our side." Voldemort said. " Unfortantly the only thing I can do is limit her power unfortunately." Snape said. " Well we will have to figure another way won't we." Voldemort said.

Snape returned and went to talk to Dumbledore. " I know who killed Evelyn and Gideon Laveau sir." Snape said. " Who was it Severus" Dumbledore said. " It was one of the Lords lead assassins he will be after Maria." Snape said. " We will have to protect her the best we can then." Dumbledore said.

It was close to the time to go home. Maria was asleep she heard a whisper. She looked out on to the window. She walked towards the forest and heard a crackle in the she looked behind her. She felt hands wrapped around her and she screamed. She ran spells went flying her hands started to feel like fire she screamed some more Snape heard her and ran to her assistants. She shot a fireball at him cause him to be on fire. She ran out of the woods and had someone tap her she jumped and screamed. " Ssssshhhh it is me." Snape said. Maria ran out to him and hugged him. She saw she was hurt and rubbed her hand across his shoulder. " Your in trouble I will explain come we must go back and get you in a safe place." Snape said.

As the year came to an end. Snape explained everything and she understood. He gave her a hug and got her on the train. They head back to the train station to get to the burrow. She saw her Aunt and Uncle there at the train station she saw them and gave them a hug. Soon when they got home Percy had move away from home. Maria got the spare room. She didn't have to share a room with Ginny which was fine.
