Chapter 7

   It was time to go back to school. Maria and the other Weasley children went and got ready to go to the train. Once they got on Maria sat by herself thinking what has she got herself into but, knew it was for the good. Maria got to the castle and got into her uniforms. Everything has started. The new students were being sorted into their houses and also a new defense against the dark arts teacher as been established and her speech. Maria heard someone in her head. She looked around the room and saw Snape stareing at her. In her mind she responded back. " How are you doing this." Maria asked. " I have been able to do this for years but, I decided to keep it to myself for now but, I am afraid this is the way we will be communicating with each other for now cause of the Ministry worker as the DADA teacher." Snape said.

Maria went up to Gryffindor tower and sat on the couch. She talked to her cousins along with Hermione and Harry. She figured it was time to tell them. Maybe they can help. " Hey you guys do you remember when you Snape their early before the meetings." Maria asked. " Yeah that was bit odd." Ron said. " Well lets just say for the sake of being protected I had to betrothed to him." Maria said. All their mouthes were hung open enough to catch flies. " You are now betrothed to that dungeon bat." Ron said. " He is really not bad yes he can be a little grumpy at time but, he was just doing what he does best." Maria said. " I always thought there was a reason why he was sweet on you." Hermione said. " I think that it is wonderful that you guys are getting married." Ginny said. " We are not getting married it is for just protection. Dumbledore thought of the idea." Maria said.

After the chat they headed up to their dorm rooms and slept getting ready for their classes. Monthes has gone by and Harry got tired of what was being taught. He got detetion cause of it. Maria saw what was written on his hand and healed it. " Thanks Maria." Harry said " Anytime." Maria said. One day Maria had gotten detention with Umbridge. Umbridge had asked Maria to remove her gloves and told her that she would regret it if she did. Doing as she was told Maria took her gloves off and accidentally set fire to her desk. It made Umbridge mad and Maria was assigned detention with her. Maria arrived at her office. " Good evening Miss I am here for my detention." Maria said. " Sit and write I will not set my desk on fire." Umbridge said. As Maria started to write she never felt the writting on her hand. Her hands started to get hot and turned red. " Ummm Miss Umbridge I am afraid I am going to set your desk on fire again." Maria said. Maria took her hands and showed Umbrigde the bright red set in her hands. " Your a fire witch." Umbridge said. " Well not intentionally." Maria said. Umbridge let her go and Maria ran down to Snapes quarters.

Maria knocked on the door leaving burn marks on his door. Snape knew who it was by the voice. He opened the door and saw Maria's hands. " Where are you gloves." Snape said. " Umbridge made me take them off. She said there was no reason for me to where then and I set fire to one of the desk by accident and got detention over it." Maria said. " That is nonsense." Snape said. " Well lets just say she found out why I need the gloves." Maria said. Snape cracked a smile. He pulled out a potion and poured them all over Maria's hands. The potion brought relieve her hands were back to normal and she put her gloves back on. He took her by the hand and went back to her dorm room. He kissed her on the cheek and left. She was beet red when he did that. she went her room and went to bed.

Harry was having trouble with his dreams Maria was too except it wasn't Voldemort it was of the rape she endured. She dreamed of bits and pieces and then the brand on her thigh is what woke her up. She looked down at her leg and noticed that it was red and bleeding. She got up and got into the shower and cleaned it up. It was still bleeding so she wrapped a towel around her leg and went back to sleep. When she woke up the next morning the towel had soak thru she hide the fact that she was bleed. She grabbed some more towels and wrapped them around her leg around with a belt hoping that it would keep the bleeding in control.

She got thru her classes until the end of the day. Before she hit the door. " Miss Laveau, a word please." Snape said. She walked up to his desk. " Yes sir." Maria said. "Would you please kindly explained why you are wearing pants and why there is a bulge coming out of it." Snape asked. " I was cold and my leg is swollen from walking." Maria said. " Yeah nice try, Come with me." Snape said. He took Maria to his quarters. " Take your pants off." Snape said. " I beg your pardon." Maria said. " Take your pants off." Snape said. Maria unbutton them and pulled them down. Snape saw what was on her leg. " Sit down." Snape said. She sat down on the couch. He undid the thing on her leg. He got down to the blood soaked towel. He carefully peeled away the towel and noticed the brand was bleeding. " How long has been this going on." Snape said. " Since this morning" Maria said. Snape looked down. " We have to get you to the infirmary." Snape said. He took her hand and picked her up. He went down there and Poppy was in there he told her what had happened and she went to work. Snape took her back to her dorm. " Now the next time you have something like this tell me." Snape said. Maria shook her head.

It was getting close to the end of the school year. Like the others Maria rebelled against Umbridge. Once everything went thru with going to the ministry. While they were looking for Harry's prophecy. Maria took the wrong turn and saw a swirling ball that caught her attention. The ball of swirling light. " The fire witch that is infertile by disaster will fall in love with the potion master. With their bond of love they will conceive two boys that will be born on the day of victory. One like mother with fire so bright. One like father with an ability to creat Ice. The Fire witch will live forever with the half blood prince known as a potion master." Maria looked at like the ball was crazy. Could it be true. She wouldn't know. Maria helped with fighting off the Deatheaters. She saw Voldemort and stopped in her tracks. They appirated back into the castle. Snape looked at Maria and saw that she was okay. She looked up at Snape. " Yes Miss Laveau." Snape asked. " I heard something at the ministry in a crystal ball." Maria said. She repeated it Snape. " What do you think it meant." Maria said. " Have no idea." Snape. Maria left and went on to the train. The children of Hogwarts all went on home for the summer.
