Sally's phone went off with a beep. It was a text message from his best friend, Larry.
"Sally. Meet me in the treehouse ASAP." He text read.
"K"
The boy shoved his phone into his pocket and rushed out the door.
When he finally got to the treehouse, nobody was there. The only thing in there was one of Larry's coats on a hanger with a note on it.
~Grab this and come meet me on the roof~
He threw on the jacket and made his way down the treehouse ladder. Sal was upset Larry made him walk up to the treehouse but he still made his way upstairs and onto the roof.
Out of breath, Sally says
"Asshole, you made me walk up all those stairs"
Sally looked out, larry sat on a lawn chair, an empty one sitting next to him and a cooler with a candle on top of it between the chairs.
"Sorry dude, I wanted to make this mysterious"
"What for? Why?"
"Sal come sit, I snuck us some beers"
Sal obliged but was a bit confused why Larry was acting like this, but he didn't mind. He took off his mask and sat in the empty chair.
"What's up with this fancy setup Johnson?"
"I just wanted everything to be perfect"
The blue haired boy was confused by this but decided to once again ignore it. Larry was looking up at the sky.
"Sal, look! It's the Big Dipper!"
"No larry, that ones the Big Dipper, the one you're pointing to is the Little Dipper"
"Whatever dude" Larry said chuckling.
"Sal, I have something to tell you."
"Yeah? What is it dude?"
"I know this is gonna be weird coming from me but... well I guess I like you... and I don't want this to effect our friendship.... and I just wanted to know if you feel like... the same?"
Sally looked at Larry and Larry returned his gaze.
"Sal... I'm sor"
Sal had taken Larry's face and kissed him gently.
"Larry, I like you too" the boy said, blushing.
