Torn by his surroundings, Sumali took a huge decision. He decided to take the shivling to the forest and leave it there. His wife was shocked by his decision but they had no choice. So Sumali took the shivling and left for the woods. It was a dense forest. Sumali had never gone there before. But he kept walking and reached near a lake. There was a tree under which he situated the shivling and did jalabhishekh and worshiped it. He drank some water fell asleep beside the shivling as he was very tired. When he opened his eyes, it was getting dark and he needed to leave. But his heart was not letting him and he fell in front of the shivling and started crying. But he consoled himself and started to walk back. But it got dark and he lost his way.
