We pulled up to some kind of arena. I got out and grinned.
"Bri!" I said and ran up to him. "Will you buy me some popcorn?" I asked and he sighed.
"Oh go on O'Connor," Agent Bilkins said to him.
"Why not... You go find a seat near the front Ari," he said and I grinned. I nodded eagerly and ran into the arena stands to go find a seat. I sat at the front, in the middle. Soon after I did, the event started, four cars crashing into each other. I gasped softly as two of the cars battled, static as they were pushing with even force.
"Hey Ari... We're gonna move up a bit," Brian said and I nodded, going up a couple of rows and sitting beside him, reaching into the box of popcorn he had in his lap. Moments later a car went crashing into the two static cars, pushing them into the barrier.
"That's your boy in Monte Carlo?" Agent Bilkins asked and I looked at Brian, tearing my eyes off the cars for a second.
"Yeah that's him," Brian confirmed and as I looked back, Brian's guy reversed into another car.
"He's good," I grinned and took another handful of popcorn, placing it in my mouth.
"Yeah he's got some skills," Brian agreed. "And he's crazy as hell, I'll tell ya," he said and I laughed.
"Sounds like me and him are gonna get along great," I grinned.
"He's crazy in a good way though, he's the man for our job," Brian said and I looked up at him hopefully.
"Please Bri, please can I come too?" I asked, my eyes pleading.
"I wasn't gonna leave you behind Ari. Your the best racer I know," he said and I cheered happily. I heard agent Bilkins talking but didn't really pay attention as I watched this guy fight. Suddenly, he went head into a car, flipping it through the air and making it land on its back.
"Wow..." I breathed in admiration. The guy got out of his car and I got up and clapped and cheered for him.
"Roman Pearce!" Someone yelled over the speakers and I wolf whistled. I know he heard me because he smiled and looked in our general direction. He then squinted at us and walked off.
"Let's go say hi, huh Ari?" Brian said quietly and I grinned, nodding eagerly. We walked off the stands and towards him, me holding Brian's hand and Bilkins following us.
"Pearce!" Brian yelled and Roman kept walking. "Roman Pearce!" He said again and Roman ignored him. Brian glanced at me and looked back at Bilkins. "Whatever happens next, let it go," Brian said and let go of my hand.
"I ain't in it," Agent Bilkins said and put his hands up. Brian whistled harshly and I stepped behind him slightly, obscuring myself but not my vision.
"Rome!" He yelled. This finally got Roman to turn around.
"Only my home boys call me Rome," Roman said and I looked sadly at the two. "Pig," he said crossly and spat on the ground making me smile softly, his attitude towards Brian reminding me of Vince.
"I'm not a cop anymore bro," Brian said and raised his arms.
"Is that true?" Roman asked and walked toward us. "Blondie here not a cop anymore?" He asked Bilkins.
"That's true, no badge," Agent Bilkins confirmed as he got closer. Roman paused for a moment and punched Brian in the jaw. "Whoo, here we go," Agent Bilkins said and walked off as I laughed at the two boys who were rolling around on the floor.
"You still fight like shit," Brian said making me laugh even harder.
"What the hell are you doing here? I told you to stay away from me," Roman said, punching him again.
"Brian you gotta respect a man's requests," I grinned.
"Piss off Aurora," Brian growled making me laugh even more.
"You should've told me! I did three years Brian!" Roman yelled as Brian put him in a headlock.
"I told you it wasn't my fault!" Brian yelled back. Roman fought out of the headlock and they sat opposite each other on the ground.
"Why'd you come here O'Connor?" Roman asked, breathless.
"I gotta deal for you," Brian said and I crossed my arms.
"When I needed you, your ass was no where to be found," Roman said. "Now he's asking me for deals," Roman muttered to himself.
"I need you to come to Miami and drive with me and Aurora. If you do, they'll take off that anklet and clear your entire record," Brain said and I gasped.
"I did three years in jail. Three years in jail, fuck you Brian. I know you better than you think," Roman said and I looked at Brian.
"Maybe you don't," Brian said and Roman walked over to Bilkins.
"Is this deal legit?" Roman asked him.
"That's right. If you do this job of course," Bilkins said.
"Told you!" Brian said and I laughed softly.
"Shut up punk," Roman said to him. "So your gonna clean my record and get this thing off my ankle?" He asked.
"That's right," Bilkins confirmed. "I thought you couldn't wander more than a hundred yards of your home," Bilkins said.
"Why do you think I'm parked so close to the Derby?" He stated and glanced at me so i gave him a sympathetic smile.
"Man quit playing like your going to pass this up," Brian said and I hit him on the arm.
"Let him make up his own mind Bri," I hissed and looked at Roman. Roman scoffed but agreed to come with us.
