Rosé and Junhoe used to always hang out as trainees. They had a natural inclination for powerfully moving music and were drawn to each other's voices. It wasn't uncommon to see them belting out as a duo in the practice room or eating lunch together at the cafeteria.
That is, of course, until the boys from 'Team B' were forced into two survival shows.
Junhoe lost time as he voluntarily attended extensive practices for his team's debut. Rosé had her own thing going on too, she and a few other girls were in a cutthroat competition to be part of a new girl group under YG Ent and getting shortlisted was top priority. She was not about to let the chance slip right through her fingers.
Sadly, by the time their groups debuted, Yan Hyung Suk had become a carcass of the zealous out-of-the-box thinker he once was. He'd rather ban the boys and girls from talking to each other rather than encourage or publicize group activities between the two for promotions, like he did with 2NE1 and BigBang.
