4. Jane and Maura Talk About Their Case

As everyone that lived in Beacon Hill arrived home, Maura mentioned the case her and Jane have been working on.

"Lets get inside and we'll explain everything." Jane said as Maura opened the door.

Once inside and settled down, Beca curled up in Chloe's lap on one of the chairs. Aubrey in Stacie's on the other, and Maura curled into Jane's side on the couch. The rest of The Bellas sat around the floor.

"So what's this case about?" CR asked.

"We've been working on it for a month now. Still looking for this woman." Jane said.

"It's a woman?" Chloe asked.

"Yes. I found black nail polish between our third victim's two front teeth." Maura said. "The victim bit the tips of her fingers and managed to scrape some nail polish off along with the tip of the gloves the killer was wearing."

"However, your mom managed to identify the material of the gloves as that of a woman's leather work glove. But unfortunately, we can't narrow down enough of those working women that wear them as well as black nail polish made with gel here in Boston." Jane continues.

"So what have you got so far?" Aubrey asked.

"That's it. Nothing more other than like previous women killers we've arrested, she doesn't hit her victims in the chest or pelvis area." Maura said.

"And all women tend to avoid those areas due to reproduction and to avoid the most sensitive and obvious areas that would cause the victim to bleed out." Stacie elaborated.

"Correct. And all our victims are women." Maura stated.

"How many have you had so far? It's been a whole month now you said." Chloe said.

"Six. And ongoing. Only we're not sure who's next because none of the victims are connected. They're all random." Jane said.

"At least from what we found so far."

"Does this mean we may be in danger ourselves?" Jessica asked.

"Most likely, yes. Especially since every victim so far has been between the ages of 18 to 25." Maura said.

"And the most damaged one was about a week pregnant." Jane said.

"I found in our fifth victim a fetal bone. She most likely didn't even know she was pregnant yet." Maura said.

Chloe subconsciously squeezes Beca's hand and the brunette Dj kisses her temple. "Calm down, Chlo. Nothing is going to happen to our unborn baby. I promise."

Chloe just slightly smiles in thanks and looks back at her parents. "Anything else?"

"No. But just be careful for a while ok?" Jane said.

"Ok. Ladies, lets go to bed. We've had a long day." Beca said.

The Bellas all nodded and left to their guest rooms for the night.
