Chapter 10 Quiting Wendy's

" Good morning, beautiful." That's the first thing Lisa heard when she woke up. Ashley had the hugest smile on his face. It was almost child-like. He woke up before her but never moved from their position. She kissed him and headed to the bathroom. After she took a shower, was clothed by Ashley, and ate cereal, she hopped in her car and drove to work.

" Lisa, why aren't you wearing your uniform?!" Yay her boss is there to fuck the day!

" Steve I got a better job. So I quit. I have the clothes in my car so I can return them." She was headed to her car when someone grabbed her arm.

" You can't quit! Because you are nothing without me. You will never amount to anything you worthless piece of shit!" She fell to the ground as he punched her on the right side of her face. She got up when he went to his office. What he didn't know was the people eating there had made a video of it and put it on YouTube. Oh, shit. He's busted. Lisa walked back in with her clothes and the whore looked at her happily.

" Look at the ugly ass emo. She's not working here anymore people. I never thought I'd see the day. I always thought you would kill yourself the first week. Too bad you're still here. It's a shame people have to endure eating their food when they are trying not to throw up while they see you. See you later in hell cause I that's where your going, bitch!"

Lisa didn't know what to do at that moment. Sally handed her a razor. Lisa looked at it conflicted. What would Ashley or Danny say? They would hate her and she'd be all alone. Lisa sat down on the ground going into a mini panic attack. Sally moved to where she was standing in front of her, glarring daggers.

" Come on. We need you off this earth. Everyone hates you. Don't you get that. Your mother made a mistake by keeping you alive. No wonder she gave you up. Do us all a favor and slice that vein of yours. It'll do humanity a world of good and we can all be happy when your gone. Die! Die! Die bitch die! Die! Die! Die bitc-" Sally was cut off by a punch in her mouth. Lisa wiped her tears and focused on the person. It was Danny! Ashley was right behind her rushing over to Lisa. He grabbed the blade and threw it away from her. She held on to the collar of his shirt as she sat in his lap. His shirt got ruined with her tears soaking through it. Ashley sat her in the car and went back inside as Danny sat right next to her. They didn't talk.

Finally Ashley came back out. He got in right next to her and held her tightly. Danny got out and took over the drivers side. They sped away from that hell hole. Then Lisa noticed his bloody knuckles. He punched that asshole of a guy for her.

" H-how did y-you get there?" Lisa was still sobbing on his already soaked shirt.

" Well Danny was surfing YouTube and she was looking at the new videos posted today and well we saw you and that asshole fighting but -" he paused to inhale a shaky breath.

" - when that bastard hit you... I wanted to kill him. We called Dakota to drive us over and we ran inside to find a razor in your hand." Ashley choked out.

" Ashley! I-I wasn't gonna- she handed me the razor. She wanted me to die. But all I could think about was letting everyone down. I thought of how disappointed you would be so I didn't cut. Don't be angry with me!" Lisa was crying in fits now. Ashley held her even tighter and tilted her face up so he could look at her face.

" Angry? By all means I'm proud of you. You had a choice, you could've cut but, you were strong and didn't cut. I am over the moon proud of you." He flashed his one million dollar smile at her and her sobs subsided as Danny pulled into the driveway.

They called their family and told them about tour. Grandma was kind of judgy if you know what I mean. Danny and Lisa were separated because Danny is with Kel in the SWS van while Lisa resides in the BVB bus. They all made a few stops but the one they had to make was at the middle school.

Danny and Lisa wanted to say goodbye to Sue and Mike in person. They were glad to get out of class even for a few minutes. They were sad to say goodbye, but they wanted to do this. The talk was brief, but special. Sue and Mike hugged all the guys in the bands, hugged Ash and Kel, then had a group hug with Lisa and Danny before they went back to class. And off they went headed to Jacksonville, Florida. Not looking back at the family they left behind. Even if it were a month or two. No regrets they told themselves. And there weren't any as they sat next to the loves of their lives.
